It’s one of those authentic Turkish houses that’s been converted into accommodation, and honestly? It works better than you’d think.

The location is what really sold me on this place. You’re literally a 10-minute walk from Kaleiçi – that’s Antalya’s gorgeous old quarter with all the Ottoman-era buildings and narrow cobblestone streets that every tourist photo tries to capture. But here’s the thing most people don’t realize: staying right IN Kaleiçi can be a nightmare with the crowds and restaurant noise until late. This house gives you that sweet spot where you can actually walk there easily, but you’re far enough out to get some peace. MarkAntalya shopping center is close too, which I actually ended up appreciating more than I thought I would – sometimes you just need normal stuff like a proper coffee or toiletries without paying tourist prices.

What I really liked about staying here was how it felt like being in an actual Turkish neighborhood rather than some sterile hotel zone. The house itself has that traditional feel – you know, thick walls that keep things cool, tile floors that feel amazing on bare feet after a day of walking around in the heat. The rooms are spacious (hence “büyük ev” – big house), and there’s something satisfying about having actual space to spread out your stuff. Parking was surprisingly manageable, which if you’ve ever driven in Antalya, you’ll understand is basically a minor miracle. The 8/10 rating makes sense – it’s not luxury, but it’s solid and comfortable with that authentic vibe you can’t get at the chain hotels down by the harbor.

I mean, you’re not getting a concierge or room service here, but the trade-off is staying somewhere that feels real. The family running it clearly knows the area – they pointed me toward this amazing little lokanta just two streets over that I never would have found otherwise. Mornings were actually peaceful, which was perfect for planning out day trips to places like Düden Falls or just wandering through the old town before it gets packed with tour groups around 10 AM.

  L'emplacement de l'appartement est parfait, tout près de Old town. De nombreux commerces se trouvent à proximité, facilitant nos déplacements. L'hôte s'est montré particulièrement accueillant et serviable. En ce qui concerne l'appartement lui-même, il est très spacieux et bien équipé, offrant tout le confort nécessaire pour un bon séjour.
  Nous avons vraiment apprécié notre expérience et avons passé un excellent séjour, qui a dépassé nos attentes.

  What could be improved: 1- blankets are not available
  2- shower appliance like (shampoo, body wash, etc.)
  3- dishwasher pods and other detergents are not available
  4- very weird or smelly rooms.
  5- Absolutely, horrific mattress and pillows.
  6- The manager promised us to offer blankets, but it never came.
  7- No closet to place our clothes.
  8- Trash bags were available to waste our garbage.
