Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Akra V, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. The whole “access to Akra Antalya” thing sounded a bit confusing, but it actually turned out to be one of those pleasant surprises that make you feel like you stumbled onto something good. You’re basically staying in a more intimate property that gives you all the perks of the big sister hotel next door, which honestly feels like getting the best of both worlds.

The location on İsmet Gökşen Caddesi is pretty sweet – you’re right in Şirinyalı, which locals will tell you is one of the better neighborhoods if you want to be close to everything without dealing with the absolute chaos of the old town. I mean, you can walk to Lara Beach in about ten minutes, and there’s this little bakery around the corner that does these incredible börek pastries in the morning (you’ll smell them baking if you’re up early enough). The whole Muratpaşa district has this lived-in feel that tourist areas sometimes lack, you know? Real people actually live here, so you’ll see kids playing football in small parks and older guys playing backgammon at corner cafés.

What really clicked for me was how the staff seemed to actually know their stuff about Antalya. Not just the standard “oh yes, very beautiful” responses you get sometimes, but genuine recommendations. One guy at the front desk – I think his name was Murat – told me about this family-run restaurant about fifteen minutes away that served the best pide I had during my entire trip. And when the weather got a bit unpredictable (which happens in shoulder season), they were quick to suggest indoor alternatives that weren’t just shopping malls. The 8.7 rating makes sense when you experience that kind of attention, honestly. The rooms themselves are what you’d expect from a solid four-star place – clean, comfortable, good air conditioning that actually works. I stayed during late spring when it was getting warm, and you definitely need that AC running by afternoon. The connection to Akra Antalya means you can use their pool and restaurant facilities, which is clutch because their pool area has better shade options and the restaurant does a really decent breakfast spread. Parking was surprisingly hassle-free too, which anyone who’s driven in Turkish cities will appreciate. The neighborhood gets pleasantly quiet in the evenings – not dead quiet, but you’re not dealing with party noise or constant traffic. Just the occasional call to prayer from the nearby mosque and the sound of families chatting on their balconies, which I actually found pretty soothing.

  The receptionist were very kind. The beach access was so nice and the facilities were gorgeous. My partner and I are already planning to return 🙂
  
  What could be improved: The beds and pillows were a bit to hard for my taste but my partner loved it! So it depends on your preference. But all in all I highly recommend this hotel.

  Upon entering you are met by the most welcoming staff and front desk, full of smiles and offerings to help. I would like to add that Ege went above and beyond to help with tickets to the football match and other useful tips about the local area, teşekkürler Ege!
  
  Rooms are generously spacious, well stocked and comfortable. The chambermaids are very friendly all in all they made my business trip an extremely hassle free one.

  Friendly staff helped us to enter our room earlier on our first day and leave with a bit delay on our last day of our trip. They were really helpful and flexible when we need help. Our room is perfectly cleaned all day. They were always smiling and reflecting great positive mood all the time. A very big applause to all stuff.

  It was well place with regards to location! A beautiful hotel with great facilities. It’s clean, light and good value for money and you just instantly feel like you’re on holiday! The staff is also very friendly and well mannered.
  
  What could be improved: The aircon didn’t work so well in the room. The lift area was also warm there didn’t seem to be an aircon there either. Maybe they should get a golf cart from Akra to Akra V 😊
