So I stumbled across Ale Apartments Hotel during one of those “let’s find something decent but not crazy expensive” searches, and honestly? It turned out to be one of those pleasant surprises you don’t expect from a 3-star place. The thing is, it’s tucked away on this quiet side street in Arapsuyu – you know, that part of Konyaaltı where you’re close enough to everything but far enough from the main drag that you’re not hearing scooters rev up at 2 AM.

What I really liked about this place is how it feels more like staying in someone’s well-maintained apartment building than a typical hotel. The staff actually remembers your name after day two (which, let’s be real, doesn’t happen everywhere), and they’ve got this relaxed approach to check-in that I appreciated after a long flight. The rooms are pretty spacious – I mean, you’re not bumping into furniture every time you turn around, and there’s actual closet space for more than three shirts. The kitchenette situation is surprisingly functional too, which came in handy when I wanted to grab some of those amazing tomatoes from the local market and actually do something with them instead of eating hotel breakfast every single day. The balcony views won’t make your Instagram explode, but there’s something nice about having your morning coffee while watching the neighborhood wake up.

Here’s the thing about the location that took me a day or two to fully appreciate – you’re about a 15-minute walk to Konyaaltı Beach, but it’s mostly downhill, so it’s actually pretty pleasant. Coming back uphill with beach gear… well, that’s a different story, but the local dolmuş runs right nearby if you’re not feeling the trek. There’s this little family-run place called Cemil Usta just around the corner that does incredible pide, and honestly, I probably ate there four times in a week because the owner’s wife kept recommending different toppings and I couldn’t say no. The hotel’s 7.3 rating feels about right – it’s not going to blow your mind, but everything works, it’s clean, the AC doesn’t sound like a helicopter, and the Wi-Fi actually reaches the balcony. I did notice the walls are a bit thin, so if you get stuck next to a family with young kids, you’ll know about it, but most evenings were pretty quiet. Would I stay here again? Yeah, probably. It’s got that comfortable, unpretentious vibe that makes you feel like you’re staying somewhere real rather than some sterile hotel bubble.

  Pleasant accommodation.
  Approx. 10 min walk to the beach.

  It has a great location, not far from the beach and from different shops and the public transport. There is air conditioning in every room. The wifi works great. The basic facilities (kitchen, bathroom) are ok. You can park in front of the property.
