Antalya Inn Hotel Overview
You know what struck me first about Antalya Inn? It’s tucked right behind Hidirlik Tower in Old Town Kaleici, and I mean literally – you can almost touch the ancient stones from some windows. Most people walk right past the narrow entrance on Hidirlik Sokak because, honestly, it doesn’t scream “hotel” from the street. But that’s actually part of its charm.
The building itself is this converted Ottoman house that feels like someone’s eccentric aunt decided to open her doors to travelers. The rooms are all different – mine had this weird but wonderful mix of restored wooden beams and modern touches that somehow worked together. I’ll be straight with you though, it’s not luxury by any stretch. The plumbing makes those old house noises, and the WiFi gets moody during peak hours when everyone’s uploading their Hadrian’s Gate photos. But there’s something genuinely authentic about staying here that you just don’t get at those big resort chains along Lara Beach.
What really sells this place is the location – you’re literally living inside Antalya’s history. Step outside and you’re on cobblestones that have been worn smooth by centuries of foot traffic. The harbor is maybe a three-minute walk downhill, and you can grab fresh fish at the little restaurants without dealing with the tourist circus up on Cumhuriyet Caddesi. I actually loved starting my mornings with Turkish coffee at the tiny café around the corner (the owner, Mehmet, makes it strong enough to wake the dead), then wandering through the maze of streets before the cruise ship crowds descended around 10 AM. The staff at Antalya Inn seems to know all the local spots too – they pointed me toward this incredible künefe place that I never would’ve found on my own.
Look, if you’re expecting pool service and turndown chocolates, this isn’t your spot. But if you want to feel like you’re actually staying in Antalya rather than just visiting it, and you don’t mind a bit of old-world character with your accommodation, it’s pretty special. The 7.8 rating feels about right – it’s not perfect, but it’s got personality in spades. Just pack earplugs if you’re a light sleeper, because those ancient walls carry sound, and Kaleici can get lively on weekend nights.

The location is excellent, right in the center of Oldtown. Terrace bar has very nice view to the bay. Breakfast was surprising, not classic. Different Tukish tastes. Enjoyable. Thank you!

Super central location right in the old town. What an incredible place Antalya is! The Antalya in gave us a warm welcome on arrival, I can’t fault the staffs’ kindness and knowledge shared with us. The rooftop bar/restaurant was absolutely perfect overlooking the mountains – I’m missing their cocktails overlooking the view already! Great breakfast too.
Thankyou for a lovely stay 🙂
** Please bear in mind this is an authentic Turkish hotel – don’t expect luxury, it’s perfect because it’s imperfect. **
