This isn’t just some generic hotel; it’s literally a private house with a garden tucked right into Kaleiçi, which is the old town part of Antalya that most tourists only see on day trips.

The location on 1297. Sokak is actually perfect – you’re inside the historic walls but not right on the main tourist drag where the carpet sellers hang out. I mean, you can walk to Hadrian’s Gate in about three minutes, but you’re not dealing with tour groups marching past your window at 7 AM. The house itself has this authentic Ottoman feel without being stuffy about it. There’s a proper garden (the “bahçeli” part of that crazy long name), and honestly, that’s where you’ll probably spend most of your time. The courtyard catches this amazing light in the late afternoon, and you can hear the call to prayer from the nearby mosque mixing with sounds from the harbor – it’s sort of magical, actually.

What really struck me was how the owners managed to keep the historical character while making everything work for modern travelers. The stone walls are original (you can tell because they’re slightly uneven in that charming way), but the WiFi is solid and the bathroom has proper water pressure. Small details matter here – like how they’ve positioned the seating areas to catch sea breezes, or the way they’ve preserved these gorgeous old wooden shutters that actually keep the rooms cool during the day. Parking can be a bit tricky since you’re in the old town, but there’s a spot about a two-minute walk away, and honestly, once you’re settled in, you won’t want to drive anywhere anyway. The harbor is right there, the best restaurants in Antalya are within walking distance, and if you want to hit the beach, Mermerli is literally just down the hill. I stayed here during shoulder season in October, and it was perfect – warm enough for the garden but not so crowded that you felt like you were fighting for space in the narrow streets. The 9.4 rating makes total sense once you’re there; it’s the kind of place that feels like staying at a friend’s house, if your friend happened to live in a beautifully restored historical building in one of Turkey’s most charming neighborhoods.

  Der Gastgeber war super freundlich und herzlich, man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Die Unterkunft ist etwas ganz Besonderes, liebevoll dekoriert mit vielen selbstgemachten Details, voll Charme und Charakter. Bücher, Vintage Möbel und kreative Ecken überall! Und obwohl es mitten in Antalya ist, war es erstaunlich ruhig. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

  Wonderful accommodation, clean, spacious, comfortable, fully equipped. Completely independent, with a nice terrace. The host is very kind, helpful and fair. The old town is 2 minutes away, a real gem with countless attractions. The beach can be reached in 15 minutes by nostalgic tram. In the area you can choose between grocery stores, restaurants, shops. So everything is within easy reach from the accommodation on this quiet little island. We had a great time, we hope to wake up to the sound of the muezzin again one day.

  The apartment was ideally situated for the old town and also quiet with its' private outdoor space. It was well equipped, comfortable and clean with the air conditioning making high temperatures comfortable. The host was very welcoming and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would go back again.
