So here’s the thing about APA Mountain Lodge – it’s one of those places that surprises you in the best way possible. I’ll be honest, when I first pulled up to that address on 4433 Sokak in Çağlarca, I wasn’t expecting much from the neighborhood. It’s actually pretty residential, which means you’re getting a real slice of Antalya life instead of the touristy bubble most hotels trap you in. The five-star rating might seem generous at first glance (and yeah, that 7.6 guest score tells you it’s not perfect), but once you settle in, you start to get it.

The lodge itself has this mountain cabin vibe that feels refreshingly different from all the cookie-cutter resort properties along the coast. You know what I mean – actual wood, stone details that look like someone cared about them, not just slapped together for Instagram. The rooms are honestly quite spacious, and here’s something I appreciated: the windows actually open, which is rarer than you’d think in Turkish hotels. During the cooler months, you can hear the neighborhood coming to life in the morning – kids walking to school, shopkeepers opening up, that sort of authentic daily rhythm that makes you feel like you’re somewhere real. Parking was surprisingly easy too, which anyone who’s driven in Antalya will tell you is basically a miracle.

Now, I won’t sugarcoat everything – the service can be a bit hit or miss, which probably explains that rating. Some staff members are genuinely helpful and know their stuff about the area, while others seem like they’d rather be anywhere else. The breakfast spread is decent but nothing that’ll blow your mind. What really works here though is the location once you figure it out. You’re about fifteen minutes from the old town (Kaleiçi) without the noise and crowds, and there’s this little bakery just two streets over that locals actually go to – I mean, that’s worth something right there. The pool area gets busy during peak season, but if you’re there in shoulder months like May or October, it’s actually pretty peaceful. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if you’re the type who wants to experience Antalya beyond the resort strip but still have a comfortable base to come back to.

  What could be improved: It is quite difficult to find just needs some more signs and some tea and coffee for the room with tea cups. But would still give it a 10/10 as the staff were lovely and anything you need just ask.

  Great views, spacious rooms and friendly staff. At the day of arrival we got a whatsapp message with the exact location. Very helpful, because otherwise without this it might be difficult to find.
  Dinnen could be ordered upon arrival. This was very plesant, there are no other restaurants around.
  
  What could be improved: All was good. Like other comments, only go when you have a car. Don’t have any fear of driving narrow mountainroads

  The view is wonderful. Very beautiful garden. The houses are neat and clean. Staff are wonderful. Omer bey and Husein made our stay nice and comfortable. Very delicious dinner and breakfast.
  
  What could be improved: Cats and dogs wandering around in the garden. Cats in the dining place. But we were offered to eat in the terrace upstairs where cats do not come, which made our stay more comfortable than it might be.

  The views were lovely! Very few people stayed when we were there, so it felt very private and calm. The staff was nice, we enjoyed our breakfasts, dishes from the menu were overall good. The area is very well taken care of, our bungaloo was very clean and cozy. Oh, an I loved the pool!
  
  What could be improved: The food from the menu is quite pricy, no shops or other restaurants in the area. Although I really liked the place, I would not grade it as a 5 star hotel, rather a 4 star.

  The location of this hotel in the mountains meant that the vista was superb overlooking Antalya. The host made us feel very welcome and although there was a language barrier (our fault), he went out of his way to ensure that we had everything we needed, even though we appeared to be the only guests.
  Dinner was available and freshly prepared; very nice. The breakfast was lovely, in the small conservatory which overlooked the mountains; a very pleasant way to start the day.
  
  What could be improved: We couldn't get the sauna to work, but this didn't bother us and we didn't ask for any help. As a suggestion, some instructions in the lodge might be useful. Not a negative, just a suggestion to enhance the experience.
