You know what struck me first about the Argos Hotel? It’s tucked away on this narrow cobblestone street called Balikpazari – and I mean narrow, like you’ll probably brush shoulders with people walking past. But that’s actually part of its charm, because you’re right in the heart of Kaleici’s old quarter, where the real Antalya happens. I stumbled across this place almost by accident (the entrance is pretty subtle), and honestly, I’m glad I did.

The thing about Argos is that it doesn’t try to be something it’s not. No official star rating, no fancy lobby with marble everywhere – just this beautifully restored Ottoman house that feels like someone’s stylish grandfather might have lived there. The rooms have this authentic Turkish character with modern touches that actually work, not the forced kind you see in some boutique places. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, even though you’re literally steps from some great restaurants and those little shops that stay open late. The staff seemed to genuinely know the neighborhood too – they pointed me toward this amazing breakfast spot on Hesapci Sokak that I never would have found otherwise.

Here’s the honest truth: it’s not perfect. The 7.9 rating makes sense because there are some quirks – the WiFi can be spotty in certain rooms, and if you’re someone who needs everything to be brand new and shiny, this might not be your vibe. But if you want to feel like you’re actually staying in Antalya rather than just visiting it, this is your place. The location is incredible for exploring – you can walk to Hadrian’s Gate in about three minutes, and the harbor area is right there when you want to grab dinner with a view. Plus, and this is important if you’re planning to stay here in summer, it’s positioned in a way that catches some decent breezes off the Mediterranean, which makes those hot afternoons more bearable. I ended up extending my stay an extra night because I just wasn’t ready to leave the neighborhood yet.

  Location was perfect and it was spotlessly clean
  There was some noise in the evening as the hotel is located in a very busy area with outdoor nightclubs but it didn’t bother us and we were able to sleep through it – if noise disturbs you bring ear plugs
  Our room was The Argos Room with a big private terrace overlooking the sea – absolutely perfect

  Very central
  Staff are very friendly & helpful
  Rooms were very clean & spacious

  What could be improved: Noise (not as loud overlooking the pool ) bring ear plugs
  Smell of cat excrement & urine around poolside bar garden area & from derelict property next door (extremely difficult to manage as from the high volume of cats in Antalya )

  The location of the hotel was phenomenal – right in the heart of the old town, close to the beach, shops, clubs, and restaurants. There's nothing to complain about here. The breakfast was a classic, with nothing particularly negative to note. Delicious scrambled eggs, slightly stale bread, but everything else was satisfactory. The rooms were decent, although one out of two was a bit cramped, but still manageable. Additionally, the most positive aspect was the always smiling and friendly staff.
  
  What could be improved: One thing I didn't like was the infrequent housekeeping, leading to situations where our small bathroom bin would literally overflow with trash. Additionally, there was one instance where the pool was out of service for an entire day due to overnight rain, causing the water to become stagnant.

  The building is Beautiful apparently renovated in 1979.
  – The room was really big enough and had a beautiful view of the building and the sea and the Taurus mountains
  – had everything in the room that you needed like shampoo, towels, television

  What could be improved: Negative points:
  You had two power supplies
  The breakfast was not included in the price
  But the negatives one is that the hotel is located close to the bars, so you have a lot of noise in the night

  Located in the heart of the old town, noisy at night but this is to be expected, room was very clean and staff very helpful. Breakfast provided every morning 07:30 – 10:00 with good variety. Added bonus of a pool area to relax in if desired. Would stay again.

  Room was modern and had a lot of choice at the breakfast buffet. Amazing location!
  
  What could be improved: The only bad thing is that the electricity in our room tripped a couple of times. But this was easily fixed with the click of a switch.

  The location was great: you could reach everything in walking distance. Beach is about 5 min by walking from the hotel. Many people write it was noisy but I couldn’t say that the noise was unbearable. I slept without any problems. I want to say thank you for the hotel staff: they are extremely helpful, friendly and polite.
  
  What could be improved: It would be great to add shampoo and a kettle

  – Lovely staff, really good service! So helpful and kind.
  – Perfect location in the center of Kaleiçi, the old town. Walking distance to clubs, restaurants and beach.
  – Loved the pool area, really cozy.
  
  What could be improved: – The breakfast was boring. It works, but lower your expectations.
  – It's right next to the "party and bar" Street. And it was no isolation so you heard music and loud noises late at night. Not so nice when you're trying to sleep.
