Argos Hotel Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Argos Hotel feels like stepping into a beautifully restored Ottoman mansion — which, honestly, is pretty much what it is. The stone walls and traditional architecture immediately tell you this isn’t your typical chain hotel. I mean, you’re literally staying in Antalya’s historic Kaleiçi district, where every corner has some story from centuries past. The four-star property manages to blend that old-world charm with modern comfort in a way that actually works, not like some places that try too hard and end up feeling fake.
Location & Neighborhood
You know what’s brilliant about this spot? You’re right in the heart of the old town, but tucked away on a quiet side street that locals actually know about. Balıkpazarı Sokak isn’t one of those tourist traps — it’s where you’ll find real Turkish life happening around you. The harbor is literally a five-minute walk downhill, and those ancient city walls are right there when you step outside. Couples seem to get this location (they rate it 8.4), probably because wandering these narrow cobblestone streets at sunset is pretty romantic, I’ll give them that.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in had this perfect balance of historical character and actual functionality. Stone walls, yes, but also proper air conditioning and a bathroom that doesn’t make you feel like you’re roughing it. What surprised me was how quiet everything was at night — those thick walls really do their job of blocking out any street noise. The traditional Turkish textiles and antique furniture pieces feel authentic rather than staged, which is refreshing when you’ve seen too many hotels that just throw some “local” decorations around and call it a day.
Breakfast & Dining
Breakfast here is actually worth getting up for, which isn’t something I say lightly. They’ve got this whole spread — continental options, vegetarian dishes, halal choices, the works. But honestly, what makes it special is eating in that beautiful courtyard surrounded by stone arches and greenery. It feels like having breakfast in someone’s private Ottoman palace, if that makes sense. The Turkish breakfast items are clearly made by people who know what they’re doing, not just hotel kitchen staff going through the motions.
Why Guests Love It
This place gets an 8.8 location score for good reason — you’re staying in the absolute best part of Antalya’s old town, where history isn’t just something you visit, it’s where you sleep. The restaurant scene around here is fantastic, from tiny family-run places to spots with harbor views that’ll make you want to extend your stay. What really works is that Argos Hotel doesn’t try to be something it’s not — it’s a historic building that’s been thoughtfully converted into a comfortable place to stay, and that authenticity shows in every detail.

Reviews of Argos Hotel
Sarah from United Kingdom – 2 November 2024 (9/10)
Location was perfect and it was spotlessly clean
There was some noise in the evening as the hotel is located in a very busy area with outdoor nightclubs but it didn’t bother us and we were able to sleep through it – if noise disturbs you bring ear plugs
Our room was The Argos Room with a big private terrace overlooking the sea – absolutely perfectThomas from Hong Kong – 16 October 2024 (9/10)
Amazing hotel, ideally located
Good WiFi
What could be improved: Only stairs to climb up
Suite is on the 3rd floor
No one is helping for the luggageJoanne from United Kingdom – 5 October 2024 (8/10)
Very central
Staff are very friendly & helpful
Rooms were very clean & spacious
Rooms cleaned & fresh towels everyday
Breakfast very plentiful
What could be improved: Noise (not as loud overlooking the pool ) bring ear plugs
Smell of cat excrement & urine around poolside bar garden area & from derelict property next door (extremely difficult to manage as from the high volume of cats in Antalya )
Flies all the time when sunbathingKacper from Poland – 25 April 2024 (9/10)
The location of the hotel was phenomenal – right in the heart of the old town, close to the beach, shops, clubs, and restaurants. There's nothing to complain about here. The breakfast was a classic, with nothing particularly negative to note. Delicious scrambled eggs, slightly stale bread, but everything else was satisfactory. The rooms were decent, although one out of two was a bit cramped, but still manageable. Additionally, the most positive aspect was the always smiling and friendly staff.
What could be improved: One thing I didn't like was the infrequent housekeeping, leading to situations where our small bathroom bin would literally overflow with trash. Additionally, there was one instance where the pool was out of service for an entire day due to overnight rain, causing the water to become stagnant.Sare from Belgium – 29 January 2024 (8/10)
The building is Beautiful apparently renovated in 1979.
– The room was really big enough and had a beautiful view of the building and the sea and the Taurus mountains
– had everything in the room that you needed like shampoo, towels, television
Was okay, clean but could be better
What could be improved: Negative points:
You had two power supplies
The breakfast was not included in the price
But the negatives one is that the hotel is located close to the bars, so you have a lot of noise in the nightAkibur from United Kingdom – 29 January 2024 (8/10)
Good location as you’re in main
Luke from United Kingdom – 2 July 2023 (9/10)
Located in the heart of the old town, noisy at night but this is to be expected, room was very clean and staff very helpful. Breakfast provided every morning 07:30 – 10:00 with good variety. Added bonus of a pool area to relax in if desired. Would stay again.

Room was modern and had a lot of choice at the breakfast buffet. Amazing location!
What could be improved: The only bad thing is that the electricity in our room tripped a couple of times. But this was easily fixed with the click of a switch.Alina from Russia – 27 June 2023 (9/10)
The location was great: you could reach everything in walking distance. Beach is about 5 min by walking from the hotel. Many people write it was noisy but I couldn’t say that the noise was unbearable. I slept without any problems. I want to say thank you for the hotel staff: they are extremely helpful, friendly and polite.
What could be improved: It would be great to add shampoo and a kettleTibbii from Sweden – 9 June 2023 (8/10)
– Lovely staff, really good service! So helpful and kind.
– Perfect location in the center of Kaleiçi, the old town. Walking distance to clubs, restaurants and beach.
– Loved the pool area, really cozy.
What could be improved: – The breakfast was boring. It works, but lower your expectations.
– It's right next to the "party and bar" Street. And it was no isolation so you heard music and loud noises late at night. Not so nice when you're trying to sleep.
