So I’ve stayed at the Aspendos Seaside a couple times now, and honestly? It’s one of those places that just gets it right without trying too hard. The hotel sits right in Altınkum – which literally means “golden sand” in Turkish, and trust me, they weren’t exaggerating about that beach. You’re basically a two-minute walk from some of the softest sand I’ve felt on the Turkish coast, and I mean actually soft, not that gritty stuff you find at some of the more touristy spots.

What I really appreciate about this place is how it manages to feel upscale without being stuffy. The 4-star rating is pretty spot-on – you’re getting quality without the pretension of a full luxury resort. The staff actually remembers your name after day two, which sounds small but makes such a difference when you’re trying to relax. Check-in was smooth both times I went, though I’d avoid arriving during the evening rush around 6-7 PM when all the transfer buses show up from the airport. The lobby gets a bit chaotic then, but it settles down quickly. Parking is straightforward too, which is honestly a relief – anyone who’s driven around Antalya’s old town knows what a nightmare finding a spot can be.

The location is what really sold me on coming back. You’re far enough from the main Antalya chaos to actually hear yourself think, but close enough that a quick dolmuş ride gets you to Kaleiçi (the old quarter) in about 20 minutes when you want to explore. The beach here doesn’t get absolutely packed like Lara or Konyaaltı – I mean, it’s busy during peak summer obviously, but you can still find your spot without throwing elbows. There’s this little fish restaurant about a five-minute walk east along the beach that the hotel staff quietly recommends, and their grilled sea bream is honestly better than what you’ll get at the fancy resort places for twice the price. The hotel’s own restaurant is solid too – I was pleasantly surprised by their Turkish breakfast spread, especially the börek and those perfect little tomatoes that somehow taste like actual tomatoes. The 8.1 rating makes sense when you add up all these little things that just work. It’s not flashy Instagram perfection, but it’s the kind of place where you find yourself booking again before you’ve even checked out.

  The staff were fabulous and very helpful and accommodating to any requests. The hotel was clean and comfortable with plenty of room, but ultimately the location was supreme. Just a few metres from the beachside promenade.
  
  What could be improved: Due to the winter season and lower than ususl staff rooms were cleaned every other day, which did not cause us any issues as essentials were provided on request. Nothing much to dislike at all.

  We like location. Beach very close around 5 minutes. Rooms clean and big enough . We had everything what we needed.
