ATICI HOTEL Overview
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked down Kocatepe Sokak looking for ATICI Hotel, I almost missed it completely. It’s tucked into this narrow street in Kaleiçi’s old quarter, and there’s something refreshing about how it doesn’t try to announce itself with flashy signs or marble lobbies. You know what struck me first? The building itself has this weathered charm that actually fits perfectly with the ancient Roman walls you can glimpse from some of the upper floor windows. I mean, this is proper old Antalya here – not the resort strip most tourists see.
The thing about staying in Kaleiçi is that you’re literally sleeping inside what used to be the Roman city walls, and ATICI gets this completely. They’ve kept the historic feel without making it feel like a museum. The rooms have these thick stone walls that keep things surprisingly cool even in August (trust me on this – Antalya summers are no joke), and honestly, the air conditioning barely has to work. My room had this little balcony overlooking the maze of narrow streets below, and I’d sit there in the evenings watching locals heading to the small restaurants that tourists never find. The breakfast setup is pretty simple – nothing fancy – but they serve it in this courtyard area where you can actually hear the call to prayer from Kesik Minare nearby. Some people might find that too authentic, but I thought it was perfect.
What really sold me on this place, though, is the location within the location, if that makes sense. You’re inside Kaleiçi, which everyone knows is historic Antalya, but you’re on one of the quieter residential streets rather than right on the main tourist drag near Hadrian’s Gate. Walk five minutes one way and you’re at those overpriced restaurants with English menus; walk five minutes the other way and you hit the harbor where the fishing boats come in early morning. The family running ATICI clearly knows the neighborhood – they pointed me toward this tiny place called Seraser that does incredible fish, and another spot where locals go for Turkish breakfast that costs about half what you’d pay near the main square. Parking is basically impossible on the street (welcome to old city life), but they sorted something out at a lot nearby. The 7.3 rating feels about right – it’s not luxury, and the WiFi can be spotty, but if you want to actually experience Antalya rather than just stay somewhere convenient to it, this works really well. Just don’t expect room service or a concierge desk. What you get instead is staying somewhere that feels connected to the city’s actual rhythm, which honestly beats sterile efficiency any day.

Reviews of ATICI HOTEL

staff are amazing, couldn't ask for more. bar area great, relaxed and ideal to relax
What could be improved: room was very basic, but was last minute, and ? was a room left for last minute stragglers! I did see other rooms during my stay which looked much better, so shouldn't judge on my room given circumstancesAlison from United Kingdom – 30 September 2024 (8/10)
The lady that bought me a cup of coffee every morning and the kind friendly people
Jeanne from South Africa – 24 June 2024 (7/10)
Perfectly located hotel. All you need for a short stay.
Senad from Netherlands – 16 May 2024 (7/10)
Centrally located in Kaleici old town with just about everything at the footstep.
Clean sheets, towels and friendly personnel, always ready to help.
Great value for the money.
What could be improved: Bathroom door was very worn out as well as bathroom entrance. Toilet bowl was loose, not fully fastened to the floor.
The music from the neighboring hotel has been playing up to 23:00, so it may be not suitable for everyone.
The advertising pictures were misleading. We would have not chosen this hotel/room if the real pictures were presented, regardless of the good price.
Please note that the room was clean, although worn out as seen in our pictures.Ahmad from Pakistan – 14 April 2024 (8/10)
Property was clean and near to city center. Staff was super supportive and my room was comfortable. I was happy staying over there.

Nice apartment in Old town. Perfect location, nice balconies and friendly staff.
Needs small renovation but price/quality balance is perfect.Adrienn from Hungary – 19 October 2023 (8/10)
Perfect location in the middle of the city centre, it was easy to reach everything. The hotel’s team was lovely and helpful
What could be improved: If you’re get used to sleep in perfect silence the sounds of the old town could be noisy for youSamuel from United Kingdom – 17 September 2023 (8/10)
Excellent location in the old town. Really friendly staff who are always happy to help. The price was good value for the area.
Aircon in the room worked well, and a huge balcony.
Overall a really pleasant stay and would recommend for this price 🙂
What could be improved: Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend! Only minor comments:
In the "superior room" which was nice but still on the smaller side. Room a little tired, with peeling wallpaper etc and cupboard doors not quite fixed. Still great value for the location.
Area can be noisy but this is expected – its an old building and its likely quieter than other parts of old town!Andrei from Germany – 18 June 2023 (7/10)
The location is absolutely superb, nestling right at the heart of the old city center.
What could be improved: Unfortunately, the accommodation itself did not exude much warmth or comfort, largely due to its placement in an aging building.
