Beyaz Melek Hotel Overview

Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Beyaz Melek Hotel, I wasn’t sure what to expect. It’s tucked away on this quiet side street in Altınkum, and from the outside it looks like someone’s really well-designed house more than a typical hotel. That’s actually the charm of it, though. The name means “White Angel” in Turkish, which sounds a bit dramatic until you see how the white-washed walls catch the Mediterranean light in the afternoon.

What really got me was how the owner, this incredibly warm Turkish woman, greeted me like I was staying at her family home. She walked me through everything – not in that scripted hotel way, but genuinely showing me around like she was proud of the place. The rooms are small but thoughtfully done, with these gorgeous traditional Turkish textiles mixed with modern touches that actually work together. You know what surprised me most? The bathroom tiles – they’re these hand-painted ceramics that look like they came from a local artisan, not some hotel supply catalog. The bed was comfortable enough, though if you’re used to those massive American hotel beds, manage your expectations.

The location is pretty perfect if you want to feel like you’re living in Antalya rather than just visiting it. You’re about a ten-minute walk from the main tourist strip, but honestly, that’s a good thing. The street gets quiet at night – not dead quiet, just peaceful residential quiet. There’s this little bakery two blocks down where locals grab their morning börek, and the guy who runs it started recognizing me after day two. The hotel doesn’t have a pool or fancy restaurant, but there’s a lovely terrace where they serve Turkish breakfast (and I mean proper Turkish breakfast – none of that continental nonsense). Plus, you’re close enough to the old town that you can wander over for dinner without needing a taxi, but far enough that you’re not dealing with cruise ship crowds at 7 AM. The owner mentioned that summers get pretty busy, so if you’re going in July or August, book ahead. Spring and fall though? You might have the terrace to yourself some mornings, which honestly felt like a little slice of paradise with good coffee and that view of the old city walls in the distance.

    Location and good value

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Konstantin from Serbia – 17 October 2024 (9/10)

I always stay in this place when I come to Antalya temporary. Not luxury but comfortable enough for short stay.

  • Elena from Canada – 5 October 2024 (8/10)

Definitely a nice place, there's a very affordable restaurant nearby where we always ate and the staff there were great.
The pool looks nice and the view was good.
    Has a balcony! Very cool

What could be improved: The room we stayed at was slightly small for 2 people, and the lights could use some dimming.

  • Alistair from United Kingdom – 20 March 2024 (9/10)

Stayed 3 nights mid March. Friendly helpful staff.
    Small but smart.

What could be improved: All good

  • Damian from United Kingdom – 25 December 2023 (8/10)

    Location and price!

What could be improved: Tea/coffee facilities in room would be good

  • Anna from Poland – 23 August 2023 (8/10)

Really nice place, good location next to the beach, good air conditioning, great swimming pool when you can cool down. They agreed to give us keys earlier which was super helpful when we arrived at 9 a.m

What could be improved: Room is a little bit small and maybe they should do deep cleaning from time to time like removing stains on the curtain shower. You can't use swimming pool after 9 pm. Nothing really serious 😉

  • Андрей from Russia – 18 August 2023 (9/10)

Best location for this price if you’re in love with Antalya sea)
Excellent working staff, Onur personally helped me, it was very nice to meet him.

What could be improved: There was no really hot water, but it was warm

  • Rustam from United Kingdom – 5 August 2023 (8/10)

Close to the beach. Parking-wise it is a normal street parking, not dedicated to the hotel but spaces were availabale. All basics were working.

What could be improved: No kettle in the room which was listed in room amenities section.

  • Victor from France – 11 July 2023 (9/10)

Helpful stuff, swimming pool and 5 min from the beach. You get everything you need for a good price.

What could be improved: Nothing special.

  • Azhwan from Iraq – 28 April 2023 (8/10)

    All is best
