Blue Sea Garden Overview
Honestly, I almost walked right past Blue Sea Garden the first time I was looking for it – Hesapci Sokak is one of those narrow cobblestone streets in Kaleiçi where the Ottoman-era houses sort of lean into each other, and the hotel blends right into the historic neighborhood like it’s always been there. Which, knowing this part of Antalya’s old town, it probably has been in some form or another for decades.
What struck me immediately was how quiet it gets once you step inside, even though you’re literally in the heart of the old quarter. The garden they named it after isn’t huge, but it’s got this lovely secluded feeling with traditional Turkish tiles and enough greenery that you forget you’re surrounded by ancient city walls. The rooms have this authentic Ottoman character – I mean, some people might find the older plumbing a bit temperamental, but that’s sort of the trade-off when you’re staying in a restored historic building. The thing is, most of these boutique places in Kaleiçi don’t bother with official star ratings because they’re going for atmosphere over standardized amenities, and Blue Sea Garden definitely nails that authentic vibe.
You know what I really appreciated? The location puts you about a three-minute walk to Hadrian’s Gate, and you can actually hear the call to prayer from Kesik Minare if you’re up early enough – it’s one of those sounds that just makes you feel connected to the city’s history. The staff genuinely knows the neighborhood too, not just the tourist highlights. They pointed me toward this little tea house tucked behind the Suna İnan Kıraç Museum that I never would’ve found otherwise. Parking can be tricky since most of old town is pedestrian-only, but there’s a decent spot near the marina if you’re driving – though honestly, once you’re settled in Kaleiçi, everything’s walkable anyway. The harbor with all its restaurants and boat trips is maybe five minutes downhill, and when you want to escape the tourist crowds, you can lose yourself in the maze of these residential streets where locals still hang their laundry between buildings. I’d say if you’re looking for a big pool or a fitness center, this isn’t your place, but if you want to feel like you’re staying in someone’s well-loved family home that happens to sit in one of Turkey’s most beautiful historic districts, Blue Sea Garden gets it right.

The staff there makes all the difference
Mohamed sharif was an amazing host, he made us feel right at home
Very friendly and made great conversation and helped with all the needed information
I totally recommend the place
The location is the best in old town, close to the sea, mermerli plaji, the park, luna garden, restaurants, cafes, bars and everything you may think about
Make sure you select a nice roomOliver from United Kingdom – 5 July 2024 (9/10)
The staff were very friendly and welcoming especially Sharif who was so chatty and helped us with anything we needed. Also the location was fantastic right in the heart of the old town. Lovely atmosphere in the courtyard/restaurant we never had food but prices seemed to match other nearby restaurants.
What could be improved: The hotel only has one parking spot and it was being used when we were staying so we had to pay for parking around a 10 minute walk away. Not super inconvenient as it was a nice walk and not expensive, but we did have bags and 35 degree heat, but still worth it for the hotel.Della from United Kingdom – 25 June 2024 (9/10)
Lovely hotel and staff in a great location. Bilal worked really hard every morning to make sure everyone was fed and happy
What could be improved: There were no sunbeds around the small pool so we didn't use it. We would prefer to help ourselves to coffee or other drinks at breakfast rather than waiting to be served.Rida – 23 June 2024 (8/10)
Location was great. Staff was friendly and the rooms were clean.
What could be improved: They played loud music well into the night, the rooms are not sound proof whatsoever. Difficult to get an early night in.Sofia from Portugal – 16 June 2024 (8/10)
Great location within the old city. Comfortable and spacious room! Good breakfast
What could be improved: Room was a bit hot but had air conditioning. Pool can’t be used!Michael from Australia – 29 April 2024 (9/10)
Great staff, warm friendly. I was lucky, I had the 2-room suite. Great value for money. Was able to spread out and relax. Brilliant location in the old town. 2 min walk to Mermerli private beach. Went there every day. Close to grocery stores, great shops, cafes and restaurants. The breakfast was amazing. The staff always friendly and helpful.
What could be improved: Sometimes the dinner at the hotel restaurant was hit n miss. Sometimes amazing. Sometimes not great.Sarah from United States – 26 April 2024 (9/10)
Breakfast was perfect everyday. Staff was very kind, and the room was spacious and with a comfortable couch and bedroom area which had everything I needed.
What could be improved: The linens for the beds could be a bit softer and the lighting in the bathroom brighter. Everything else in the room was good.Anju from United Kingdom – 4 April 2024 (9/10)
The location was really good, staffs were really friendly.
Karl from Estonia – 31 March 2024 (9/10)
Breakfast was superb.
What could be improved: We got a room without a window and very low ceiling in the bathroom.
