You know what? When I first pulled up to Caner Mountain Hotel, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect. It’s tucked away in Kuzdere Mahallesi – this quiet residential area that most tourists never see – and the address sounds way more formal than it actually is. The place sits among these traditional Turkish cluster houses, and I mean, you’d drive right past it if you weren’t looking for those specific numbers on Gedelme Küme evleri.

Here’s the thing about this place though – it’s one of those boutique spots that doesn’t bother with official star ratings because, well, it doesn’t need to prove anything. The owner (super friendly guy, speaks excellent English) actually converted these traditional stone houses into something pretty special. Each room feels completely different, which is refreshing after staying in cookie-cutter hotels. Mine had this incredible view of the Taurus Mountains – you wake up and there they are, just dominating the horizon. The morning light hitting those peaks… honestly, it’s worth the slightly winding drive up here.

What really got me was how quiet it gets at night. I’m talking proper mountain silence, not that “quiet for a city hotel” nonsense. You can actually hear the wind in the pine trees, and if you’re lucky, you might catch some of the local wildlife moving around. During the day though, it’s perfectly positioned – you’re maybe fifteen minutes from central Kemer (depending on traffic), and the dolmuş stops pretty regularly on the main road if you don’t want to deal with parking in town. The hotel has its own parking area, which trust me, you’ll appreciate after navigating some of those narrow Kemer streets.

The breakfast deserves its own mention – they do this spread of local stuff mixed with some international options, but it’s the homemade Turkish items that really shine. Fresh bread, local honey, proper Turkish tea. Nothing fancy, just done right. The staff seems to genuinely care about the place too, which you notice in little ways. Like, they’ll actually remember your name after one day, and they know the hiking trails around here better than most guidebooks.

I’ll be honest, it’s not for everyone. If you need a pool with a swim-up bar and 24-hour room service, look elsewhere. But if you want something authentic – I mean actually authentic, not hotel-marketing authentic – this place delivers. The 8.7 rating makes sense once you’re here; it’s that sweet spot where everything works well without trying too hard. Plus, you’re getting genuine mountain air and those views without paying resort prices. Just bring a light jacket for the evenings, even in summer – it gets properly cool up here once the sun drops behind the mountains.

  Часть группы приходила поздно вечером с тропы, без проблем договорились по позднем ужине.
  Номера чистые и аккуратные, есть горячая вода.

  The food in the restaraunt is great, stuff very friendly and willing to help, rooms are basic, but clean and equiped with everithing you need. location is on the Lykian Way (if you hike)

  very nice atmosphere for trekkers along the Lycian way. great location. wonderful warm lobby with a great restaurant. the staff was very friendly and helpful. the food was delicious and not expensive.
