You know what caught me off guard about Casa Sur Antalya? It’s tucked away on this tiny street called Kandiller Sokak, right in the heart of Kaleiçi’s old quarter, and honestly – I walked past it twice before realizing this was actually the place. There’s something refreshingly understated about it, especially when you’re used to those massive resort complexes that dominate most of Antalya’s coastline. The building itself has this authentic Ottoman-era charm that you can’t fake, with weathered stone walls and wooden shutters that look like they’ve been watching over the Mediterranean for centuries.

What really makes this place special, though, is how it manages to feel both intimate and sophisticated without trying too hard. The rooms have these gorgeous high ceilings and original architectural details – I’m talking about the kind of thick stone walls that keep things naturally cool even when it’s blazing hot outside in July. And speaking of heat, the courtyard becomes this perfect little oasis in the evenings when the temperatures drop and you can actually hear the call to prayer echoing off the ancient city walls nearby. The staff here actually knows the neighborhood inside and out, which is rarer than you’d think. They’ll point you toward the best börek place on Hesapçı Sokak (it’s literally a five-minute walk) or tell you exactly when to hit Hadrian’s Gate for photos without the tour bus crowds.

I mean, let’s be honest – staying in Kaleiçi isn’t always the most practical choice if you want easy beach access or tons of nightlife options. You’ll hear some street noise in the mornings when the shopkeepers are setting up, and parking can be… well, let’s just say having a car here is more trouble than it’s worth. But if you’re the type of traveler who’d rather wander through narrow cobblestone alleys and stumble upon hidden hammams than lounge by a pool all day, this is exactly where you want to be. The harbor is right there when you want to catch a boat to the waterfalls, and you’re surrounded by some of the best traditional restaurants in the city – the kind where locals actually eat, not just the tourist traps down by the marina. Casa Sur gets all these little details right, from the way they’ve preserved the original architecture to how they’ll quietly arrange a late checkout when your flight doesn’t leave until evening. It’s got that 8.9 rating for good reason, honestly.

  Beautiful property, with rooms decorated and furnished to a very high standard. Also a gorgeous outside seating area and garden. A little oasis! Fantastic location in the Own ToWn. Unbelievably amazing restaurant (we didn’t eat anywhere else), and the most lovely staff – very professional and friendly. Would stay here again and would recommend in a heartbeat.
  
  What could be improved: A couple of very small things. The hot water supply was little intermittent, but in the hot weather this wasn’t too much of an issue. There is also a bar very closeby, but again we are deep sleepers so wasn’t an issue. The garden requires a lot of maintenance, which meant spraying plants and cutting the grass etc close to dinner, which detracted a little from the ambiance if you’re trying to chill

  Quirky, clean, beautiful garden. A calm oasis in the middle of a busy part of town. A perfect place to stay for visiting the old city of Antalya. Food was lovely and staff were friendly and helpful.

  This was our first trip to Antalya and we couldnt have chosen a nicer place than Casa Sur. The hotel location is the best, in the old town right next to Hadrian's gate along the stone wall. The hotel garden was so charming with orange trees, lots of garden seating and quiet. So we walked everywhere, even to the lovely Konyaalti Beach half hour away. Or one can take the Nostalgik tram, which we did on the way back. The team at the hotel were warm and made us feel at home. Nava, Aysa, Nilgun were always present and gave the best suggestions for beach visits, the trek to Lycian Way, organized a guide, airports transfers…everything was smooth and seamless. The food at the resturent was so good, the staff very knowledgeable about th efood and wines. Although we were shocked by how expensive Turkish wines are!!
  
  Will definitely choose Casa Sur if we visit the region again. Big thank you!
  
  What could be improved: While the rooms were well appointed and the beds were so comfortable, the coffee and bath salts were not refilled regularly. We also would've preferred filtered water over plastic bottled water. Possibily a big suggestion for the hotel to look at.

  The staff were impeccable and very friendly. We had amazing recommendations from the delightfully friendly and warm lady at reception Nilgün Güneş, who showed us around the property, local customs and culture. She’s very good at her job and made us feel very welcomed. The outdoor seating at the hotel restaurant, Cava, is stunning and very well looked after by Zoltan, whom was very knowledgeable with wines and super helpful answering all our questions. Gorgeous place, would return and highly recommend! Thank you to the whole team at Casa Sur!
