Look, I’ll be straight with you about Çevik Palace Hotel – the name might sound fancy, but this is honestly a solid, no-nonsense two-star spot that punches above its weight. I’ve stayed here twice now when visiting Antalya, and you know what? Sometimes you just want a clean bed and friendly service without breaking the bank, and that’s exactly what you get here.

The location on Namık Kemal Boulevard is actually pretty smart if you know the area. You’re in Kepez, which means you’re not paying those crazy Kaleiçi tourist prices, but you can still get to the old town in about 15 minutes by dolmuş (those shared minibuses locals use – way cheaper than taxis). The boulevard itself gets a bit busy during rush hour, but honestly, the rooms face away from the main road so it’s not too bad. What I really like is that you’re walking distance to some genuine local restaurants – there’s this place called Lokanta Şahin about three blocks down that does incredible pide, and the hotel staff actually recommended it to me, which says something about how they treat guests.

The hotel itself has that slightly worn-in feel that comes with being family-run for years, but everything works and it’s spotless. The lobby smells like that particular combination of cleaning products and Turkish tea that somehow feels welcoming rather than sterile. Check-in was smooth both times – the front desk guy (I think his name was Mehmet) spoke decent English and actually sat down with a map to show me the best routes to the places I wanted to visit. The rooms are basic but comfortable enough, with decent air conditioning that actually works – crucial during those sweltering Antalya summers. I mean, you’re not getting marble bathrooms or fancy toiletries, but the shower has good pressure and the beds are firm without being uncomfortable.

What really sold me on this place was the breakfast. It’s not some massive buffet, but they do a proper Turkish breakfast with fresh bread, local honey, cheese, olives, and that strong tea served in those little tulip glasses. The dining area overlooks a small courtyard where they’ve got some orange trees, and honestly, sitting there in the morning planning your day feels pretty perfect. The 7.8 rating makes total sense – it’s not luxury, but for what you pay, you’re getting genuine hospitality and a comfortable base to explore from. Plus, there’s decent parking if you’re renting a car, which can be a nightmare in some parts of Antalya. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I was planning to spend most of my time out exploring rather than lounging around the hotel.

  Location good for my visit – reasonable price – fairly modern clean room. It was a good location for me as it’s close to where I needed to be. It’s a reasonable distance from the waterfront but walkable to the old town.
