Cicerone Lodge Hotel Overview
You know what struck me first about Cicerone Lodge? It’s tucked away on this narrow cobblestone street – Hesapçı Sokak – that honestly feels like you’ve stumbled into someone’s private neighborhood rather than a tourist zone. I mean, Kaleiçi gets crazy crowded, but this little corner actually stays pretty quiet even during peak summer months. The building itself has that weathered Ottoman charm that you can’t fake – thick stone walls that keep things surprisingly cool, and these wooden shutters that creak in the most authentic way when the Mediterranean breeze picks up in the evenings.
The whole place feels more like staying at your cultured Turkish uncle’s house than a typical hotel, which explains why they don’t bother with star ratings. The rooms are… well, they’re honest about what they are. Some have better views than others (ask for one facing away from the kitchen courtyard if you’re a light sleeper), and the plumbing has character – not broken, just character. But here’s the thing: the owner actually knows the history of every stone in Kaleiçi, and if you catch him in the right mood over morning tea, you’ll get stories about this neighborhood that aren’t in any guidebook. The rooftop terrace is where this place really shines though – you’ve got partial sea views between the ancient city walls, and it’s perfect for watching the sunset without fighting crowds at Hidirlik Tower.
Location-wise, you’re literally a three-minute walk from Hadrian’s Gate, but more importantly, you’re close to the good stuff locals actually use. There’s this tiny bakery around the corner on Barbaros that opens at 6 AM with the best börek you’ll find in the old town, and the family running the produce stand near the mosque entrance will remember your name after two days. Getting here can be tricky – taxis sometimes refuse to navigate these narrow streets, so be prepared to walk the last bit with your luggage. Parking is basically nonexistent, but honestly, once you’re settled in Kaleiçi, you won’t need a car anyway. The marina is right there, Mermerli Beach is a short stroll, and you can walk to decent restaurants without dealing with the tourist traps closer to the clock tower. Is it perfect? Not really – the WiFi gets moody, and don’t expect luxury amenities. But if you want to actually experience old Antalya rather than just photograph it, Cicerone Lodge gets you into the rhythm of the neighborhood in a way those big hotels near the harbor just can’t match.

All was perfect
What could be improved: Unfortunately,They gave us only 1 key attached with electrical card for the room. So we couldn’t leave the room unless all of us should leave it also.
I recommend to provide 2 keys (or seperate the card from the Keys)Mona from Lebanon – 16 September 2024 (8/10)

location was excellent. walkable from the tram stop that goes to the airport and heart of the old town. can enjoy the music downstairs.
What could be improved: Air conditioning was not powerful. needed at least 1 hr to cool room, space in the room was very limited, steep stairs leads to the room hence difficult with heavy luggage.Jan1361 from Czech Republic – 29 September 2022 (8/10)
Located in the downtown of Antalya 5 minutes away from two tram lines. Bathroom much cleaner than turkish standard and even dedicated place for a shower. Balcony in the room.
What could be improved: The room right under the room so ceiling is very low in the most of the room and I kept hitting my head.Ramin from Iran – 20 September 2022 (7/10)
After staying in a 5 Star hotel, staying in Cicerone and the feeling of glamours nights with music was great. it was in a great location, near the shopping center and Kaleci harbor. Nights over the hotels restaurants and club was so amazing.
What could be improved: it is small one and not recommended for family.Cooke from United Kingdom – 14 September 2022 (7/10)
We booked the deluxe king room, this was the room in the pictures with the red chaise lounge. The pictures are an accurate reflection of this room.
The bed is large and very comfortable.
This room was good value for money, as I understand alot bigger than other rooms in the hotel. ( when selecting a hotel I found many had small rooms. I selected this hotel for the size of the room and the bar downstairs)
The staff were very friendly and helpful, doing everything they could to ensure we had a good holiday.
Great location in the centre of the old town, we loved the bar downstairs, good selection of drinks and a singer on every night.
Loved the location of the hotel and the buzz of the old town, we had a fantastic holiday.
If you like cocktails try the Pink Panther it is amazing 😊
What could be improved: We liked every thing however if you do not like noise staying in the centre of the old town is not for you.Krestinskaya from Saudi Arabia – 13 September 2022 (8/10)
good for people who like music till late. there is a pub downstairs with life music. the hosts are friendly.
What could be improved: the place is cosy, but a bit dusty.Osama from Iraq – 30 July 2022 (8/10)

What could be improved: some late noise but for the tourists very goodPercy from Vietnam – 28 June 2022 (8/10)
Wonderful location! Nice staff. Nice and clean room, with good room service. Atmosphere is really good!
What could be improved: They play live music downstairs until around 1a.m. So its not suitable if you wish to sleep earlier than that.Mehdi from Iran – 13 June 2022 (7/10)
