Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to the Citrus Luna Suite Hotel on that quiet side street in Konyaaltı, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the unassuming spots end up surprising you, and this little gem actually did just that.

The thing about staying here is the location – and I mean the real location, not just “close to everything” nonsense. You’re literally a 10-minute walk from Konyaaltı Beach, which honestly beats being right on the main drag where you’re dealing with constant traffic noise and inflated prices for everything. The hotel sits on this residential street (608 sokak, if you’re looking on a map) that’s quiet enough to actually sleep with your windows open, but close enough that you can still hear the distant hum of the city. I spent most evenings walking down to the beach for sunset, then grabbing dinner at one of those family-run places nearby – the kind where they don’t speak much English but the food is incredible and costs half what you’d pay in the tourist zone.

What really won me over, though, was how the staff seemed to actually care about making your stay decent. Check-in was smooth – no bureaucratic nonsense – and they gave me solid recommendations for local spots that weren’t just the obvious tourist traps. The rooms themselves are clean and functional, nothing fancy but everything works. The air conditioning is quiet (thank god, because Turkish summers are no joke), and the shower has actual water pressure, which… well, if you’ve traveled around Turkey much, you know that’s not always a given. The suite setup is nice too – you get a little sitting area that’s perfect for planning your day or just decompressing after walking around Antalya’s old town. I mean, it’s not luxury, but it’s comfortable and thoughtfully laid out.

The 7.8 rating makes sense to me – it’s solid without being spectacular. There are a few quirks (the elevator is tiny, and the WiFi gets spotty on the upper floors), but nothing that ruins the experience. What I appreciated most was that it felt like staying somewhere real rather than some generic hotel bubble. You’re in an actual neighborhood where people live and work, which gives you a much better sense of what Antalya is actually like beyond the resort facade. Plus, parking is free and easy, which is huge if you’re planning to rent a car and explore the coast – something I’d definitely recommend since some of the best beaches and ruins are a short drive away. It’s the kind of place I’d book again without hesitation, especially if I wanted to experience the city like a temporary local rather than just another tourist passing through.

  The breakfast was varied – I liked it.
  Location of hotel is super. Couple of minutes to walk, cross the street and you are on the beach already.

  The location is excellent.
  The apartment is spacious, and the terrace is quite large.
  Breakfast is satisfactory.
  The receptionist Melis was extremely kind and dedicated to her work.

  No cloths, no sponges, no dishwashing liquid, no even salt.
  The garbage can in the kitchen is so small, as if it is for children.
  On our remark when the apartment is cleaned, they said every two days, and that was the third day.

  Having good size pool was big tick for this property. Another benefit for users was presence of washing machine as well as option to leave luggage at the property after check out in case where your connecting flight is later afternoon.

  Great value for money. Plenty of space in the rooms. Great balcony. Washing Machine. Very large fridge/freezer. Good location. Lots of good local food near by (in land). Pool was lovely and not busy (late May 2023). Lots of history nearby.
  
  What could be improved: Large kitchen let down by a lack of equipment/kitchen ware. No kettle and only a tiny pan for boiling water on the gas stove. The kitchen area was not as good as the rest of the apartment.
