The apartment itself feels like someone’s stylish cousin let you borrow their place for the week. High ceilings, these gorgeous tile floors that stay cool even when it’s blazing outside, and windows that actually open wide enough to get proper cross-ventilation going. The furniture isn’t trying too hard to be Instagram-perfect, but everything’s comfortable and well-chosen – like that oversized sofa where I ended up reading for hours because the afternoon light was just perfect.

What really sold me was the kitchen situation. I’ve stayed in plenty of “apartments” where the kitchen is basically a hotplate and a prayer, but this one’s got proper counter space and a full-size fridge. The owner (I think his name was Mehmet?) had stocked it with local olive oil, some spices, even fresh bread on arrival day – little touches that make you feel welcomed rather than processed. Parking was surprisingly easy too, which anyone who’s driven in Antalya will appreciate. The neighborhood has that authentic residential vibe where kids play in the streets in the evening and older folks sit outside their shops chatting. You’ll hear the call to prayer from the nearby mosque, but it’s not overwhelming, more like part of the city’s rhythm. The only tiny downside – if you’re expecting hotel-style daily housekeeping, this isn’t that. But honestly, having the space to spread out, do laundry, make proper Turkish coffee in the morning… it felt more like temporarily living in Antalya rather than just visiting. And with that perfect 10 rating, I can see why others felt the same way.
