Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to the Espina Hotel on that narrow side street in Çağlayan, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. It’s tucked away on 2048 Sokak, which is actually perfect because you’re not dealing with the tourist chaos of the main drags, but you’re still close enough to everything that matters in Muratpaşa. The building itself has this understated charm that grows on you – it’s not trying to be flashy or Instagram-perfect, just genuinely welcoming.

What really won me over was how the staff actually seemed to care about getting things right. You know how some boutique places are all style and no substance? This isn’t that. The rooms have character without being cluttered, and honestly, the beds are way more comfortable than you’d expect for the price point. I mean, it’s not luxury-resort territory, but it’s that sweet spot where everything works and feels thoughtfully put together. The whole place has this lived-in quality that makes you feel like you’re staying somewhere real, not just another cookie-cutter hotel room. And the neighborhood – well, that’s where it gets interesting. You’re in a proper Turkish residential area, so you’ll hear the call to prayer echoing between the buildings and catch glimpses of actual daily life happening around you.

Here’s the thing about location that the booking sites don’t really capture – you’re about a 15-minute walk from Kaleiçi if you want the old town tourist experience, but you’re also surrounded by genuine local spots. There’s this little bakery around the corner that does incredible börek in the mornings, and the produce market on Thursdays is absolutely worth experiencing. The neighborhood gets pretty quiet after 10 pm, which is either perfect or boring depending on what you’re after. Parking can be a bit of an adventure (welcome to Antalya), but the hotel staff knows the area well enough to point you toward the easier spots. The 7.9 rating honestly feels about right – it’s not perfect, and you might notice some minor wear here and there, but it delivers on what it promises without pretending to be something it’s not. If you’re looking for a place that feels authentic and gives you a real taste of living in this part of Antalya, rather than just visiting it, the Espina gets it right.

  Breakfast was very good for me. I love cereals and fruit. My room was excellent but needs a towel rail and toilet roll holder in the bathroom and the aafe needs instructions and securing in the cupboard

  Very friendly staff, we did receive even better room that we have booked 😊
  Breakfast was nice – not big choice but always fresh.
  About swimming pool cannot say anything – did not use. We had trips booked.
  Big thank you for letting us to stay few more hours and for looking after our luggage.
  
  What could be improved: Only one minus – room cleaning it was very late. We haven't been in hotel all day and when we were back at 5pm cleaners did come for a cleaning and we couldn't take a shower in time.

  Very good hotel!
  Staff is friendly and helpful. Speaks a few languages.
  Rooms are clean and spacious, especially the new building is very fresh.
  Always staying here when in Antalya.
  Location is close to everything, including shopping center. Surroundings are quite and good looking, next to sea view promenade.

  Very nice and welcome stay !
  We had great room with sea view for extra pay , but 100% worth it .
  Daily cleaning was perfect , staff very friendly and helpful , cozy spacious room . For 3* hotel it’s just perfect .
  Bed was very comfy , I would say everything was perfect except BREAKFAST . 100% need to change this point , we all having there dental treatments and would be nice to add just simple porridge , and some difference daily .
  Breakfast was include in cost but I am sure we pay for it and we as customers deserve to have more range of breakfast as it’s not that expensive .
