You know what struck me first about Esse Joven Hotel? It’s actually not trying too hard to be something it isn’t. Located right on Ismetpaşa Caddesi – which, honestly, is one of those streets that feels perfectly positioned without being in the absolute chaos of Antalya’s main tourist drag. The building itself has this clean, modern look that doesn’t scream “budget” but also doesn’t pretend to be the Ritz. It’s solid four-star territory, and I mean that in the best way possible.

The location really works in your favor here. You’re close enough to walk to the old town (Kaleiçi) without dealing with the constant tour bus traffic, and there’s this little cluster of local restaurants just down the street that most tourists never find. I actually discovered a tiny döner place about two blocks away that became my go-to breakfast spot – the kind of place where the owner remembers your order after two visits. The hotel staff was pretty helpful about these kinds of local recommendations too, which you don’t always get at places this size. Check-in was smooth, though I’d suggest arriving after 3 PM if you can swing it – they seem to get a bit backed up earlier in the day.

What I appreciated most was how the place felt… well, functional. The rooms are clean and comfortable without unnecessary frills, the Wi-Fi actually works throughout the building (tested it in the lobby, elevator, and my third-floor room), and the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a freight train. Small things, but they matter when you’re trying to decompress after trudging around Antalya’s ancient sites all day. The breakfast spread was decent – not elaborate, but fresh bread, local cheese, and strong Turkish coffee, which is really all you need. Parking can be a bit tricky during peak season (July and August get pretty intense), but the staff usually has workarounds if you ask nicely. I’d say the 7.6 rating is pretty fair – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it delivers exactly what it promises. If you’re looking for a comfortable base to explore Antalya without paying resort prices, this place makes sense.

  The hotel is nicely located within walking distance of the old town. It offers good value for the price. The air conditioning and the fridge work great (you will need those if you visit during the summer time).
