Ezel Group Hotel Overview

So I stumbled across Ezel Group Hotel during one of those late-night booking sessions where you’re scrolling through options that aren’t the usual chain suspects, and honestly? I’m glad I took the gamble. This place sits tucked away on 3825. Sokak in Antalya’s Konyaaltı area – you know, that part where the neighborhood streets still feel authentically Turkish but you’re not completely cut off from the tourist zone.

The thing about Ezel is that it doesn’t try to be something it’s not. No fake marble lobbies or over-the-top chandeliers, just this quietly confident boutique vibe that actually works. The owners clearly put thought into the details – I mean, the bathroom fixtures are better than what you’d expect for the price point, and there’s this subtle lighting throughout that makes everything feel warmer in the evenings. My room faced the street side, which I was initially worried about (Turkish traffic, you know), but it’s actually pretty quiet once you get past the morning rush around 8 AM. The air conditioning works properly too, which… well, if you’ve stayed in budget places around the Mediterranean in July, you’ll appreciate that’s not always a given.

What really won me over was how the staff handled things – they’re not hovering over you with fake smiles, but when I needed directions to find decent döner that wasn’t tourist-trap pricing, the guy at reception actually drew me a little map to this spot about ten minutes’ walk away. That kind of local knowledge is worth more than fancy amenities sometimes. The breakfast setup is pretty straightforward Turkish style – fresh bread, olives, cheese, tomatoes – nothing Instagram-worthy but it’s real food that fills you up. You’ll want to get down before 9:30 though, because they do run out of the good stuff if there’s a full house.

Location-wise, you’re maybe a 15-minute walk to Konyaaltı Beach if you don’t mind the slight uphill return trip, and there’s a decent grocery store practically next door which saved me when I needed water and snacks. The old town (Kaleiçi) is doable by foot if you’re feeling energetic, but honestly, just grab a dolmuş – they run frequently and it’s like two lira. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle on this street, so if you’re driving, maybe call ahead and ask them about it.

Look, this isn’t going to be the most Instagrammable place you’ve ever stayed, and the 7.2 rating probably reflects that it’s not trying to be everything to everyone. But if you want somewhere that feels genuine, where you’re not paying extra for marble you don’t need, and where you can actually get useful local advice instead of brochure recommendations, Ezel Group Hotel does the job well. I’d stay here again, especially if I was planning to spend most of my time exploring the city rather than lounging around the hotel.

Reviews of Ezel Group Hotel

  • Ammon from Germany – 5 May 2025 (8/10)

    Location

  • Mats from Netherlands – 3 May 2025 (8/10)

The staff was very nice and helpful. For what you pay it is a good hotel. The location is good, but not when you want to go in the center of Antalya.

What could be improved: It was not very clean, but I did not expect that for the price.

  • Jamith from United Kingdom – 4 April 2025 (7/10)

This property offers excellent value for money it's budget-friendly without compromising on comfort. Located in one of the best area, it provides easy access to key attractions and transportation. If you're looking for a stay that's affordable, convenient, and in a prime location, this is the perfect choice. But no elevator if you have big travel bags ask them which floor is your room

What could be improved: The staff on duty in the evening were not helpful. After checking out, I left my bags at the property and later returned to collect them. I asked if I could use the downstairs washroom, but was told there wasn’t one available. However, I had stayed the night before and I’m certain there is a washroom downstairs. The staff member was rude and refused to let us use it, insisting there was no washroom. It was quite humiliating and disappointing, especially after staying at the property.

  • Anna from Georgia – 19 October 2024 (7/10)

Very kindly and polite staff, they help with different type of our issues

What could be improved: Some parts of apartments need renovation, but for chill and sleep for this money it’s great

  • Anas from Turkey – 19 September 2024 (7/10)

The best thing is the location which is close to everything and the buses and metro are like 10 minute's walk, the wifi is good also and in general its a clean place.

What could be improved: Well first of all it's a cheap place to stay so that must be considered.
The worst thing is not having an elevator and you end up having to carry your 30 kg something bags to the third floor, that's a deal breaker for me.
The bathroom is really tiny and kinda smelly.
other than that it's what is expected from a place like this with this price tag.

  • Svock from Italy – 17 September 2024 (6/10)

The location is near the city center, 10 minutes max by car. The breakfast is good with different choices. The refrigerator and free parking is available

What could be improved: The pictures are not updated because you can tell that they were taken some year ago because the building and rooms needs renovation. No elevator available. The bathroom was not very clean.

  • Dmytro from Ukraine – 10 September 2024 (8/10)

Coffee machine! Normal coffee, at last. Price, breakfast, everything was good.

What could be improved: Short beds, not for tall people. But as one of the cheapest options it's ok. Poor sound insulation.

  • Maciej from Poland – 7 September 2024 (7/10)

    Price

What could be improved: The floor was dirty, the bathroom door was mouldy.

  • Hussein from Iraq – 13 August 2024 (6/10)

The location was excellent, 10 minutes bus ride to city center, 10 minutes bus ride to konyaalti beach, and the lady at the reception was so nice with us.

What could be improved: The breakfast was of low variety considering the price, the room facilities was a bit old and need to be changed or maintained, but overall it was an ok stay for a low budget trip.

  • Ruslan from Turkmenistan – 26 June 2024 (7/10)

Exceptionally friendly staff at the breakfast. Food was decent.
