You know what? I’ve walked past Flamingo Residence dozens of times in the Hurma neighborhood, and honestly, it’s one of those places that grows on you. It sits on this quiet side street – 258 Sokak – which is actually perfect because you’re close enough to hear the city but far enough to sleep without earplugs. The building itself has that practical Turkish apartment-style architecture, nothing fancy, but it’s solid and the pink-ish exterior (hence the flamingo name, I suppose) stands out just enough that your taxi driver won’t drive past it three times like mine did.

The location is really what makes this place work. I mean, you’re in Hurma, which locals know as this sort of emerging area where actual Antalya residents live alongside tourists – not like those resort strips where everything feels manufactured. There’s a family-run bakery about two blocks down that opens at 6 AM and fills the whole street with this incredible bread smell, and honestly, that became my morning routine. The nearest dolmuş stop is maybe a five-minute walk, which gets you to Konyaaltı Beach or the old town without much hassle. Parking can be a bit tricky on the narrow street, but the hotel staff actually knows the neighborhood well enough to point you toward spots that won’t get you a ticket.

Inside, it’s what you’d expect from a solid 3-star place – clean, functional, with that slightly dated but comfortable feel. The rooms are bigger than you’d get in the tourist center for the same price, and the air conditioning actually works (learned not to take that for granted in Turkish summers). What surprised me was how quiet it gets at night – even with the windows open, it’s mostly just the occasional scooter and maybe some late-night conversation from the café down the street. The 7.3 rating makes sense to me; it’s not going to wow you with luxury, but it does what it promises without any unpleasant surprises. The staff speaks enough English to handle check-in smoothly, though I’d recommend having your address written in Turkish for any delivery food – the neighborhood can be confusing for drivers who don’t know it well. If you’re looking for that authentic Antalya experience without paying resort prices, and you don’t mind being a short ride from the main tourist areas, Flamingo Residence hits that sweet spot between local and accessible.

  The appartment was big enough for 5 people (we stayed in a 2-bedroom appartment). Kitchen was well-equiped with a big fridge with a freezer, a gas stove and an oven. There was simple but sufficient kitchenware to cook food, however plates where made of plastic.
  There are a lot of grocery shops, cafes, bakeries and restaurants in the nearby area. There is a bus stop within the walking distance from the appartment, it takes approximately 35-40 minutes to get to the city centre by bus.
  Residence has its own pool which was very appreciated. The nearest beach was within 30-40 minutes on foot or about 10-15 minutes by buss.
  Residence staff was friendly and answered our questions.
  
  What could be improved: The property is getting old and interior of the appartments requires some renovation and maitanance (such as repainting walls, changing some of the worn out furniture, reparing some floor damages, replacing plastic plates etc.
  Internet speed was very dissapointing unfortunately.

  (Pictures screenshotted from video hence why it is blurry). The apartment was nice and spacious, with two floors, the bedrooms being downstairs with a full bathroom. The upstairs had a toilet and sink. The apartment was clean, there was a balcony and the facilities were easy to use. The pool is nice to use and is generally not packed.
  Location wise, there is a Sok/BIM , one cafe and a corner shop within walking distance as well as a park less than a minute away from the hotel.
  Konyaaltı beach and cable cars are nearby, though you will need a taxi.
  
  What could be improved: About the apartment the one issue was, that the stairs inside the apartment to go down to the bedroom, the Barrier surrounding the stairs had large gaps, so it is quite dangerous for children as if they fall through they gaps they will fall to the bottom part of the stairs and can cause a major injury, to solve it we had to create a makeshift square playpen with the three sofas so the baby did not crawl towards the stairs.
  In terms of location lt is a quiet area which is nice, although to get to places you will need a taxi to go to places such as the Konyaaltı beach, free bazar etc. There is only a few shops within walking distance.
  Customer service is okay, though they do not understand English properly therefore it is difficult to communicate with staff (compared to staying in other hotels in Turkey.) you are able to get by though.
  Hotel excursions are also quite expensive and you are better off booking through an external website i.E you can find the same excursion for 30 euros cheaper.
  Other than that the apartment is a nice comfortable and clean apartment to stay in.
