You know what struck me first about Frankfurt Hotel? The name is completely misleading – and I mean that in the best possible way. This isn’t some corporate chain that got lost in translation. Instead, you’re getting this charming little boutique tucked right into Kaleiçi’s maze of cobblestone streets, where honestly, half the fun is just wandering around trying to find your way back each evening.

The location on Hidirlik Sokak is actually perfect if you want to feel like you’re staying in old Antalya rather than just visiting it. I mean, you’re literally within the ancient city walls here, and when you step out in the morning, you’re maybe a three-minute walk from those Roman harbor ruins that everyone posts on Instagram. But here’s the thing most people don’t realize – since it’s tucked into the residential part of Kaleiçi, it stays surprisingly quiet even when the main tourist strips are buzzing with restaurant crowds and street musicians. The thick stone walls don’t hurt either.

What really sets this place apart is how it manages to feel both intimate and polished without trying too hard. The rooms have this sort of understated elegance – think restored Ottoman house vibes but with proper air conditioning and WiFi that actually works (trust me, not a given in these historic buildings). The staff genuinely seems to know the neighborhood, too. When I asked about finding good Turkish breakfast away from the tourist traps, they sent me to this tiny place down near Mermerli Beach that I never would’ve discovered otherwise. And parking – well, you’ll want to ask them about the arrangement they have nearby because street parking in Kaleiçi is basically a myth.

The 9.2 rating makes complete sense once you’ve stayed here. It’s not trying to be a luxury resort with spa packages and poolside service, but it nails everything it’s actually going for. The breakfast spread uses local ingredients, the common areas have these gorgeous details you’d expect in a restored historic building, and honestly, the whole experience feels more like staying at a well-connected friend’s place than a hotel. During shoulder season especially, when Antalya’s weather is perfect but the crowds thin out, this is exactly the kind of spot where you end up extending your stay just because leaving feels wrong.

  What a lovely hotel. The people that work there are so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. The location is right in the old town with plenty of bars and restaurants on your doorstep. Transport links to the rest of Antalya are within a 10 minute walk. I didn’t use the hotel pool but it looked very clean. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again.

  Good central location. Easy 10 minute walk to trams or marina. Good wifi and very good breakfast. A choice of two roof top terraces! One with a fridge / freezer where you can either purchase drinks or keep your own.

  The location was perfect, located in the old town of Antalya and quite close to Memerli Plaji. Shops, restaurants and ancient sites all with in a short walk. The room was good size for 3 people. Liked the hotel terrace. The pool was smaller in size, but was satisfying and didn't have early closing times like some of the other places we stayed. Free parking- the hotel offers free parking, but we found parking on the streets as well, that was free and easy.
  
  What could be improved: The bathroom was small. One of the smallest of the 5 places we stayed. Before going I read some reviews about the owner or manager, being unfriendly so I was a bit concerned. True, he isn't a jovial type, but he was attentive to our needs. I think maybe it is more of a language barrier,German may be his first language. If driving, it is difficult to drive into this old town on Friday and Saturday nights. It is very busy, the old town is gated off so it becomes a traffic jam trying to get it in.

  Perfect breakfast. A lot of fruit. Fresh orange juice, perfect coffee. All is fresh and best quality. Cleaning every day. All is spotless. Very helpful staff. Location is great. 5 minutes walk to the beach.

  The place was beautiful and serene. I really liked the hosts – they were very warm and courteous. The location was fantastic too and convenient for walking to some of the better places in Kaleici. The room, and breakfast were very good.
  
  What could be improved: The wifi was not accessible everywhere within the property. I could use it in the terrace and the breakfast place, but the reception was quite poor in the room.
