You know what struck me first about the Grand Gulluk Hotel? It’s actually positioned perfectly on Güllük Caddesi – and I mean that in the best way possible. This isn’t one of those places buried in some random alley where you’re squinting at your phone trying to figure out which building it is. The entrance is right there, and honestly, after walking around Muratpaşa for a few days, I started to really appreciate how easy it was to find my way back, especially after those long evenings exploring the old town.

The thing about this place is that it feels like they’re trying to hit that sweet spot between proper hotel service and not breaking your budget – which, let’s be honest, is pretty much what most of us are looking for. The lobby has this sort of modern-meets-traditional Turkish vibe going on, nothing too fancy but definitely not shabby either. I actually spent quite a bit of time there in the mornings with coffee because they’ve got these windows that let in really nice light, and you can watch the street come alive. The staff… well, they’re genuinely helpful, not just going through the motions. When I asked about getting to Kaleiçi (the old quarter), the guy at the front desk didn’t just point me toward the tourist trams – he actually explained which streets to take if I wanted to avoid the crowds and see some of the neighborhoods that most visitors miss.

Here’s what I really appreciated though – the rooms are quiet. I mean, you’re right in the city center, so you expect some noise, but somehow they’ve managed to keep things peaceful inside. The air conditioning works properly (crucial in Antalya summers, trust me), and the beds are actually comfortable, not those rock-hard mattresses you sometimes get in mid-range places. The bathroom situation is solid too – good water pressure, decent-sized shower. Nothing revolutionary, but when you’ve been walking around all day in Mediterranean heat, you just want things to work properly. I will say the WiFi can be a bit spotty in some rooms, but honestly, that might be a blessing in disguise if you’re trying to actually experience the city instead of staring at your phone all day. The location really is the star here – you’re close enough to walk to the main attractions without being right in the thick of the tourist chaos, and there are some genuinely good local restaurants within a few blocks that you’d never find if you were staying out by the resort strip.

  Welcoming helpful staff, clean room, cleaning service amazing. Rooms have a fridge and a kettle, bottled water provided every day. Close to Old town and all shops and markets. Not far away from the beach.

  The breakfast at the hotel is simply wonderful. Very extensive selection of buffet food. Even I would say not breakfast, but Brunch. The towels in the room are not fresh, but the bed linen is really white and clean. Of course, the big plus of the hotel is that the Hotel has a Turkish Hamam and sauna. In the evening, relaxing and steaming is exactly what you need.
  
  What could be improved: Please note that the sauna is only open 2 hours a day from 8 to 10 pm. The Turkish Hamam is open from 3 pm to 10 pm. It is better to take this into account when planning. If you know this in advance, then there are no problems. Everything is ok. Since the Hotel is located near the road, the noise of cars in the rooms is very loud. Sound insulation leaves much to be desired. But the hotel also has quieter rooms. Just ask.
