You know what? I was honestly a bit skeptical when I first pulled up to the Holiday Inn Antalya – Lara. I mean, it’s tucked away on this quiet side street in Guzeloba, and from the outside it doesn’t scream “luxury resort.” But walking through those doors – wow, they really nailed it inside. The lobby has this modern Turkish vibe that actually feels authentic, not like some designer’s idea of what Turkey should look like. And the staff at check-in? They knew I was coming before I even opened my mouth, which is always a good sign.

The location is actually pretty brilliant once you figure it out. You’re maybe a three-minute walk to Lara Beach – not the crazy crowded part where all the tour buses dump people, but the stretch where locals actually hang out. There’s this little tea garden right around the corner that serves the best Turkish breakfast I had during my entire trip (the hotel breakfast is solid, don’t get me wrong, but sometimes you want the real deal). The Guzeloba area itself is sort of perfect if you want to feel like you’re staying somewhere genuine rather than in a tourist bubble. You’ve got actual Turkish families living here, kids playing football in the small park nearby, that whole authentic neighborhood feel.

What really impressed me though was how they’ve managed to pack legitimate five-star amenities into what feels like a boutique property. The pool area doesn’t try to be massive like those mega-resorts down the coast, but honestly? It’s better. Never felt crowded, even in July when I was there. The rooms are spacious – I had this corner unit with a partial sea view, and you could actually open the windows, which sounds silly but you’d be surprised how many places seal you in with just AC. Speaking of which, the air conditioning actually works properly, thank god, because Antalya in summer is no joke. One tiny thing – the bathroom could use better lighting for getting ready, but that’s me being picky. Oh, and if you’re driving, parking is included and covered, which saved me from coming back to a sun-baked rental car every day. The whole experience just felt… effortless, I guess? Like they’ve thought through all the little things that usually go wrong on vacation and just fixed them ahead of time.

  Very nice hotel. Never disappoints. Convenient both for business and leisure stay. Visited already few times and the staff always make the extra effort to satisfy their customers. Everyone with a smile and willing to help. The food is good too and always very fast service.

  Hygiene is top notch, the food is really good, nice welness, gym and outdoor swimming pool. Hotel is located around 10km to 15km from Old Town. By taxi it is around 10 euro one-way. Taxi drivers are also really friendly and fair prices. It really helps if you learn basic Turkish, it is a language filled with respectful/ positive sayings that are used on daily basis.

  From the beginning we had the best service. Super friendly and positive personal Mehmet welcomed us and helped us. When we checked in we were informed that we got free upgraded room and that was really so beautiful room. Beautiful furniture, so clean, large sea view and super soft bed. Unfortunately we only use the hotel for sleeping but it was so professional to have a service from guest relations to text us and offer us help if we need anything. She also send us a complementary Starbucks coffee so we could use more hotel facilities. This reservation was my surprise to my wife and I was so nervous if she would like it or not but it was the best decision. Highly recommended, we will definitely choose again, hopefully for longer.
  
  What could be improved: Last night of ours next room was super laud. We guess they were fighting. We wouldn’t mind but we had so early flight in the morning and needed to sleep. When we called the receptionist he handled so professionally and quickly. Couple minutes later they were quite so we appreciated the help.
  
  We recommend you could put a sign in each balcony or in room to not speak loudly after dinner time in the balcony maybe? Because the most problem was: it makes echo when they talk even a bit louder than normal in balcony. When they went back in room it was doable, but in balcony it felt like they were in our room fighting.
