Hotel Karyatit Kaleici Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Hotel Karyatit Kaleici, you immediately sense you’ve found something special tucked away in Antalya’s historic heart. This four-star boutique property sits right in the cobblestone maze of Kaleici, where Ottoman-era houses lean into narrow streets and bougainvillea spills over ancient stone walls. The hotel itself feels like a restored mansion — you know, the kind of place where every corner has character and the staff actually remembers your name by day two.
Location Magic
Honestly, the location here is pretty much unbeatable if you want to experience old Antalya properly. You’re literally steps from Hadrian’s Gate and can wander down to the old harbor in about five minutes — I mean, couples rate this spot 9.9 out of 10, which tells you everything. The narrow Kadırpaşa Street keeps things quiet despite being so central, and you’ll find yourself discovering little cafes and artisan shops just by getting slightly lost in the surrounding alleys. What’s really nice is that you can walk everywhere in the old town, but when you need modern Antalya, it’s just a short ride away.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in had this lovely blend of traditional Turkish touches and modern comfort — think carved wooden details mixed with good air conditioning and a proper shower. The windows opened onto either the internal courtyard or the street, and honestly, both have their charm. You’ll get some street sounds if you face out, but it’s more atmospheric than annoying — just the gentle hum of people exploring the old quarter. The beds are comfortable, and there’s enough space to spread out your things without feeling cramped.
Practical Perks
Breakfast here covers all the bases with continental options plus halal choices, which is thoughtful for the diverse mix of guests this place attracts. They’ll even pack it to go if you’re planning an early excursion — something I actually used when heading out to see the waterfalls. The free parking is a genuine lifesaver if you’re driving, because finding a spot in Kaleici can be, well, let’s just say challenging. The staff speaks good English and seems genuinely interested in helping you make the most of your stay.
Why Guests Love It
What really sets this hotel apart is how it manages to feel authentically local while still meeting international standards. You’re not just staying near the historic sites — you’re actually living among them, hearing the call to prayer from nearby mosques and watching locals go about their daily routines. The combination of that incredible location score (9.6 out of 10) with reasonable four-star pricing makes it feel like you’re getting away with something. It’s the kind of place where you’ll find yourself sitting in the courtyard with a Turkish tea, planning tomorrow’s adventures while feeling completely at home in this ancient corner of the Mediterranean.

Reviews of Hotel Karyatit Kaleici
Irene from Italy – 7 July 2024 (7/10)
Very pretty, amazing staff, very good breakfast
What could be improved: Cockroaches on the ground floor, not at the top oneChiara from Germany – 9 October 2023 (7/10)
I really liked having breakfast by the pool.
The hotel is really central too.
What could be improved: The rooms are tiny and quite shabby.Marie from United Kingdom – 6 October 2023 (6/10)
Room was a good size.
Kettle in room..
Good location
Staff phoned for a taxi to the airport for us.
What could be improved: Pool had murky green water, asked staff if it was OK to go in?
They said yes, just green water!
We chose not to go in, it didn't look healthy, and no one else used it.
Shower by pool did not work, trellis put infront of it so customers couldn't access it. Meaning you couldn't sunbath by the pool as there was no way to cool down….as no access to pool or shower
Was there 3 nights, room not cleaned at all, no towel or sheets changed, no bin emptied or toilet rolls replenished.
Bathroom extractor fan didn't work and tile grouting and seals black with mildew.
No mattress protector and mattress was stained.
We would not revisit.Kristof from Hungary – 20 September 2023 (6/10)
Nice host, great location.
What could be improved: The description said it has a private parking, it did not have that. Exposed, broken outlets.Maeve from Ireland – 13 September 2023 (6/10)
The location is very central in the Old Town, just a few minutes walk to shops, restaurants and sights. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.
What could be improved: The room really needs doing up. Previous occupants broke the bathroom door which was then left outside our room on the balcony which wasn't a great look. There was no choice at breakfast, which meant some mornings were far better than others. The towels had holes in them. The room was very small too, just had enough room for our bags at the end of the bed. One of the bedside lights wasn't working. The aircon leaked the first night too. A lot of small things that could be easily fixed.Ollerton from United Kingdom – 11 September 2023 (8/10)

It was reasonable hotel to stay for 2 nights with excellent location. Rooms were very small yet comfortable and had closet and dresser.
Swimming pool is small but clean and well maintained
What could be improved: They didnt offer kettle for tea making and had no iron. When asked for iron they said they can iron it for us but will charge 20 lira per piece. This was only hotel which failed to provide iron and ketttle . I stay all over turkey i 17 days and was couldnot make my tea
They have their owb bar which they want u to use and charge 6 euro pp for breakfast. We had our beeakfast at firnici cafe near the hotsl and paid 200 lira for 3 people breakfastNatalia from Netherlands – 18 August 2022 (7/10)
It is a small, cosy hotel with a pool, quiet and right in the old city. We had a room with a balcony, which was a great addition. It is a couple of minutes walk to the taxi spot, cafes, bars and about 10 minutes by foot to the beaches. Air conditioning was also working fine. There is a small fridge, plenty of drawers, a wardrobe , kettle, tv and small bath in the bathroom. Sound isolation was also good.
What could be improved: Wifi was not always working well in the room, there were small ants in the bathroom, and the airco was quite noisy (for sleeping), however there is no option to change the program with the remote controller. The room was not cleaned daily as well, we had to ask for it, also for toilet paper when it was finished and sometimes take out the garbage ourselves.Rakhis from Morocco – 1 August 2022 (8/10)
Excellent Staff and big thanks to Imane for her Help and precious advices
Anna from United Kingdom – 2 July 2022 (7/10)
