Hotel Lykia Old Town Antalya Overview
You know what? I’ve walked past Hotel Lykia Old Town probably a dozen times before I actually stayed there, and honestly, it’s one of those places that just gets better the more you notice the details. Tucked away on Fırın Sokak – which literally means “Bakery Street” if you’re curious – it sits right in the heart of Kaleiçi where the cobblestones are worn smooth from centuries of foot traffic. The entrance is pretty understated, actually. You might miss it if you’re rushing toward Hadrian’s Gate like most tourists do, but that’s sort of the point. This isn’t trying to be flashy; it’s trying to be authentic.
The building itself has that weathered Ottoman charm that you can’t fake – thick stone walls that keep things blissfully cool even when it’s scorching outside, and these gorgeous wooden shutters that actually work (trust me, you’ll appreciate that during afternoon naps). What really got me was how they’ve managed to modernize everything without losing the character. The rooms have proper air conditioning – thank god – and the bathrooms are completely updated, but you’ll still find original architectural details like arched doorways and those beautiful old floor tiles. I mean, the Wi-Fi works perfectly, but you’re also sleeping in what feels like a piece of history. The staff here actually knows the neighborhood, too. When I asked about finding decent Turkish breakfast that wasn’t touristy, the guy at reception didn’t just point me toward the nearest café – he walked me outside and explained which turn to take to find this little family place where locals actually eat. That’s the kind of insider knowledge you don’t get at the big chain hotels down by the marina.
Location-wise, you’re literally a three-minute walk from Mermerli Beach if you want to cool off, and the old harbor is right there when you get tired of navigating the narrow streets. But here’s what I really loved – step outside in the early morning before the tour groups arrive, and Kaleiçi feels like your own private neighborhood. You can hear the call to prayer echoing off the ancient walls, smell fresh simit from the street vendors, and actually take photos of Hadrian’s Gate without fifty people in the background. The 9.5 rating makes total sense once you experience how they’ve balanced comfort with authenticity. Sure, parking can be tricky (this is old town, after all – the streets weren’t designed for cars), but honestly, once you’re settled in, you won’t want to drive anywhere anyway. Everything worth seeing is within walking distance, and the hotel feels like the perfect home base for actually experiencing Antalya rather than just checking attractions off a list.

Reviews of Hotel Lykia Old Town Antalya
Muhammad from United States – 24 May 2025 (10/10)
The breakfast was amazing. Everything made fresh to order. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Right in old town but tucked away from the loud music and night life. Comfortable beds and peaceful atmosphere. Staff did not ask or urge us to give good reviews. This is my first time writing a review because I believe they truly deserve it!
Ciaran from Ireland – 16 May 2025 (10/10)
Hotel Lykia is located in lovely Old Town and right beside loads of restaurants and bars, but was on a street where it was not noisy at all.
It is one of the nicest places we have stayed in. The building is very well designed with a lovely outdoor area at the back, where you have breakfast, which had lots of choices and service is absolutely excellent.
If back in Antalya we would definitely stay at Hotel Lykia again, without any hesitation.

Breakfast was brilliant as were the staff. Little gem of a hotel in the old town. Loved the top floor apartment, it gave us the best end to a fabulous trip to Turkey

Just a perfect place for relaxing. 100% will come again
Gareth from United Kingdom – 28 April 2025 (9/10)
It was absolutely beautiful. Great location, clean and the pool was great.
The staff were all so friendly and would do anything to help, complimentary coffee and fig cake whenever we wanted. Breakfast was fantastic, even when there were only a handful of guests there was a vast selection of delicious choices. Fireplace in the room was a nice touch.
What could be improved: The bar drinks were quite expensive so we didn’t choose to drink much by the pool.
The room was quite small and the bathroom flooded with the shower had no ventilation. Would choose the largest room if staying more than 3 days.Delraaz from India – 25 April 2025 (10/10)
The property was absolutely stunning. It was in the best possible location. Walking distance from all the restaurants and shops. The staff was incredible. We will definitely be back soon

What could be improved: Nothing.Andrea from Italy – 3 January 2025 (10/10)
Great hotel in a renovated historical building. We had great time there. The rear garden and the breakfast were really good.
The hotel and the rooms are finely decorated, which adds value to the staying.
What could be improved: Remember that you are staying in an historical building so the sound isolation between floors might not be the best. We could easily hear what was happening upstairs.
