You know what caught me off guard about Hotel Royal Hill? It’s one of those places that punches way above its weight class. I mean, sure, it’s technically a 3-star property, but honestly – whoever’s running this place clearly gives a damn about the details that actually matter when you’re trying to unwind in Antalya.

The location in Arapsuyu is pretty smart, actually. You’re far enough from the tourist chaos of Lara Beach that you can actually hear yourself think, but close enough that a quick dolmuş ride gets you wherever you need to go. I loved that you could walk to the local markets in the morning – there’s this little bakery about two blocks down 575 Sokak that does these incredible börek pastries. The hotel staff actually told me about it, which says something about how they think beyond just the property itself. Parking was surprisingly easy too, which anyone who’s driven around Antalya in summer will appreciate. The rooms themselves feel thoughtfully put together – nothing fancy, but everything works properly (and believe me, that’s not always a given). The air conditioning actually cools the room, the shower has decent pressure, and the beds are firm enough that you don’t wake up feeling like you wrestled with a marshmallow all night. I particularly liked the little balconies – mine overlooked the neighborhood, and there’s something nice about watching regular Turkish life happen below while you’re having your morning coffee.

What really sold me on the place was the service, though. The front desk team seemed genuinely happy to help with stuff, not just going through the motions. When I mentioned wanting to check out some of the lesser-known historical sites around Antalya, they actually drew me a little map and called ahead to a restaurant they recommended near Hadrian’s Gate. That kind of personal touch is getting rarer these days. The breakfast spread was solid too – proper Turkish breakfast items alongside some international stuff, and the coffee was way better than I expected. Honestly, for what you pay here, the value is pretty remarkable. I’ve stayed at places twice the price that felt half as welcoming. The 8.3 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there – it’s not trying to be the Ritz, but it absolutely nails what it is trying to be. If you’re looking for a comfortable, well-run base for exploring Antalya without the tourist hotel markup, this is your spot.

  In the first room it was smelled of cigarette smoke, so the hotel just provided me another upscale room for the same price, also the hotel allowed later checkout with no fee. It is close to the beach. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious for me, although it may be worth increasing the variety of hot dishes.

  Just block from main sea promenade, excellent position, easy parking. Not so fancy hotel but very clean, clean swimming pool. Daily cleaning, simple typical turkish breakfast. They offer dinner for 7Eur per person.

  Breakfast, a nice variety, but don't expect a continental breakfast in this, or in majority of local hotels here.
