You know what struck me first about İn The Middle Hotel? The name actually makes perfect sense once you’re there. It’s tucked away on 1312 Sokak in Antalya’s heart, and I mean that literally – you’re sort of suspended between the old city charm and the modern buzz without being overwhelmed by either. The 9.4 rating had me a bit skeptical at first (honestly, those numbers can be misleading), but after spending a few nights there, I get it.

The location is what really sells this place, though not in the way you’d expect from a typical 3-star spot. You’re walking distance from Hadrian’s Gate – and I mean actual walking distance, not that “15-minute drive” nonsense some places claim. The street itself is quiet enough that you won’t hear scooters revving at 6 AM, but you’re still close enough to duck into those little bakeries where locals grab their morning simit. The building has this understated Turkish style that doesn’t try too hard, if that makes sense. Clean lines, decent lobby, nothing flashy but everything works. Check-in was surprisingly smooth – the staff actually remembered my name by day two, which is rarer than it should be.

What I really appreciated was the attention to small details that matter when you’re actually living somewhere for a few days. The WiFi works in the rooms (tested it extensively for work calls), the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a freight train, and there’s enough power outlets that you’re not playing musical chairs with your devices. The rooms are compact but thoughtfully laid out – honestly, I’ve stayed in “luxury” places with worse storage solutions. The bathroom had this rainfall shower head that actually had decent pressure, which anyone who’s traveled through budget-friendly Mediterranean hotels will appreciate. Parking can be a bit tricky during peak season since the street gets busy, but there’s a small lot nearby that the front desk knows about. The breakfast spread is nothing extraordinary, but they do proper Turkish tea and the börek is clearly made fresh, not reheated from yesterday. I’d say the real charm is in the balance they’ve struck – you get that authentic neighborhood feel without sacrificing the basics that make a stay comfortable. It’s the kind of place where you start planning your next Antalya trip before you’ve even checked out.

  Location was great as was close to old town with an easy flat walk along the water side or through the shopping areas. The view from our room was great on the 5th floor. Breakfast view on the top floor good.

  The location was truly excellent in terms of access to a large park, five minutes by foot from the hotel, (and if you have young children traveling with you, the park has several wonderful playgrounds) with outdoor dining possibilities during the warmer months. And the park on its western edge includes a beautiful 300 yard pedestrian street overlooking the Mediterranean that directly connects to the “Old Town.” And the location is exceptional for the access as well to downtown stores and cafes, and public transportation, etc. I can’t say enough about the kitchen and cleaning staff, along with the manager. They made us feel very welcome. The hotel breakfast room offered a wonderful selection of dishes to start the day. We are vegan which was evidently a surprise, but the kitchen staff rose to the challenge and provided us with great vegetable servings, breads & rolls, and cereals & assorted fruits. All very nicely presented. They were also so very welcoming of our small grandchildren and their parents. If you stay at the In The Middle Hotel be sure to enjoy a meal at the Vamos a la Chef Cafe and Bar, eight minutes by foot. It was excellent.   What could be improved: We did not like the amount of plastic bottles of water used in the hotel, though it may not be so easy to move to a more sustainable water distribution. Also, used towels were changed every day. That can be easily remedied and after conversation with the manager I think it will be. Otherwise, everything else was wonderful.

  I stayed In The Middle 4 times. Very clean , facilities organised professionaly. 5 min walk to the nice, clear waters rocky beach , very close to the city centre. Taxi point just 300 meters away. Every time enjoying my stay.
