You know what struck me first about La Casa Carina? It’s tucked away on this tiny cobblestone street called Zeytin Sokak – and I mean tiny, like you’ll probably walk past it twice before you spot the entrance. But that’s actually perfect because it means you’re right in the heart of Kaleiçi’s old town without all the tourist chaos that hits the main drags. I stayed here last spring when the weather was just getting warm, and honestly, the location couldn’t be better if you want to feel like you’re living in historic Antalya rather than just visiting it.

The building itself has that restored Ottoman house vibe – you know, thick stone walls that keep things cool even when it’s blazing outside, and these gorgeous arched doorways that make you feel like you’re in some romantic movie. What I really appreciated was how they’ve managed to keep the character intact while actually making everything work properly (the AC was a godsend in May, and I can’t imagine what August would be like without it). The rooms aren’t huge – this is a boutique place, not some sprawling resort – but they’re thoughtfully laid out with these beautiful textiles and local touches that feel authentic rather than staged. My room overlooked a tiny courtyard where you could hear the fountain trickling at night, which was surprisingly soothing.

Here’s the thing about staying in Kaleiçi though – you’re literally a three-minute walk from Hadrian’s Gate, and the harbor is right there with all those restaurants where locals actually eat, not just the tourist traps. I’d wander down to the marina in the mornings with coffee from the hotel (decent, not spectacular) and watch the fishing boats come in. The staff definitely knows their neighborhood – they steered me toward this incredible little place for dinner that I never would have found otherwise, down some alley that doesn’t even show up on Google Maps.

What you should know: parking is basically impossible right at the hotel, but there’s a lot about a five-minute walk away, and honestly, once you’re settled, you won’t want to drive anywhere anyway. Everything’s walkable, and the tram stops right outside the old town if you need to get to the beach or the modern part of Antalya. The 8.4 rating makes sense – it’s not perfect (the breakfast was pretty standard, and some of the rooms can get street noise), but it captures something special about what staying in this historic quarter should feel like. I mean, you’re sleeping in a 500-year-old neighborhood where you can still see chunks of Roman wall just wandering around. That’s worth a lot more than fancy amenities, at least to me.

  It’s located in the heart of city centre, Kaleiçi Old Town. Everything close walking and buses as well. They should update the information sheet in the room, as the QR code not working (WhatsApp) and prices are not updated. They offer breakfast at 350 Turkish lira but in the paper says 300 or something.
  
  What could be improved: All good but just one day I didn’t have hot water. Not really annoying for me but just sometime a lot people talking outside the rooms until late, not screaming or anything but bearable. The thing is that the room was in the ground floor everything else all good.

  I arrived late at night (10pm) and the lady was there waiting for me to check in. The room was comfortable and had a nice, enclosed balcony. The bed was comfortable, the linens and towels were clean, and the bathroom was spacious enough with good water pressure. The location was excellent – so easy to walk around Kaleici (old town) but still private and quiet for a good nights rest. The breakfast was a great selection of Turkish foods, I loved it! Would definitely recommend!

  The location was excellent, in the middle of the old town very close to the sea. The room was small but very clean and comfortable. The host was super, checking that everything was OK and providing extra help and all I needed. This place was great!!
  
  What could be improved: There was a snell coming from the drain in the bathroom. Nothing can be done about this as it happens in many places. Otherwise, very good.

  This hotel is fantastic for the price. Super helpful and friendly staff, great location and clean and comfortable rooms.

  A great location, right in the middle of the old city, close to the restaurants but in a quiet street, so able to relax. Amazing staff! They really went out of their way to help me enjoy my stay.
  
  What could be improved: The bathroom corners were a little bit mouldy, but I guess it's hard to air it as there was no window. The rest of the room was spotless clean.

  It's an old house converted into a hotel. It's conveniently located at the heart of all activities in Kaleici. Taxi service available. We have to walk 15 minutes for bus or Tram. All basic amenities present. Bedsheets, toilet etc are clean.
