You know what caught me off guard about Lara Suites? It’s actually in a residential apartment building – I mean, when you see that address with “Sinem 2 Apt” you might think it sounds sketchy, but honestly, this works in your favor. You’re basically living like a local in the Güzeloba neighborhood, which is this quiet pocket of Lara that most tourists completely miss.

The location is pretty clever when you think about it. You’re away from the chaos of the main Lara strip where all those massive resort hotels dump their guests, but you can still walk to Lara Beach in about 12 minutes – I timed it because I’m weird like that. The building sits on this side street that’s actually peaceful at night, which is gold if you’re trying to escape the party scene. There’s a little bakery two blocks down that opens at 6 AM, and the smell of fresh simit drifts up sometimes if you leave your balcony door open. The elevators work fine, though they’re typical Turkish apartment building style – a bit cramped but reliable enough to get you to the 10th floor without drama.

What really makes this place work is how they’ve set up the suites themselves. These aren’t hotel rooms pretending to be apartments – they’re actual apartment-style spaces that feel lived-in rather than sterile. The kitchenette situation is legit useful, especially since there’s a Migros grocery store about a 7-minute walk away where you can grab everything from Turkish breakfast essentials to decent wine. The balconies have these partial sea views if you crane your neck a bit, but honestly, the mountain backdrop is prettier anyway. Staff-wise, they’re genuinely helpful without being overly formal – more like having a knowledgeable friend than dealing with front desk robots. I had questions about getting to the old town (Kaleiçi) and they gave me the actual local bus route instead of just pushing expensive taxis.

The whole setup appeals to people who want hotel-level cleanliness and service but prefer apartment-style space and independence. It’s not luxury in the marble-lobby sense, but it’s thoughtfully done and the 8.3 rating makes sense – good enough to recommend without overselling it. If you’re the type who books those all-inclusive resort packages, this probably isn’t your vibe. But if you actually want to experience Antalya rather than just Instagram it, staying in Güzeloba gives you this nice balance of being close enough to everything while having your own little slice of local life. Just don’t expect a pool or spa – you’re trading those resort amenities for authentic neighborhood charm and way more space to spread out.

  Staff were very attentive, all facilities were present (detergent, soap, shampoo, etc) house was fully equipped near the duden falls and beach. The owner was kind enough to let us check out late . No noise from airplanes or neighbors.

  The location is very good 5 minutes walk to the sea and the apartment has everything one would need for a stay like a good air conditioning, washing machine, hair dryer, fridge, nice balcony etc.
  
  What could be improved: It is not new, the window has a crack, and no hooks for towels in the bathroom, table on the balcony is quite old and not the best mattress.

  Spacious, clean and well decorated flat on the second floor of an apartment block. Well appointed kitchen with good set of crockery and reasonable gadgets. A functioning lift & Air-conditioning in the flat that worked well added to the experience. Plenty of car parking, nearby grocery stores and a private beach within 300 meters added to the excellent experience that we had. Highly recommended.
  
  What could be improved: Some glitches during the key collection. The reception is actually about 5 minutes walk from the location of the block of flats where we stayed. And we drove to the flat using the sat-nav only to find the building entrance locked with no reception in site. Luckily another tourist walked out at the same time and directed us to the location of the reception. If there are pictorial reminders / directions to the reception at the entrance door, it will help the tired travellers.

  The size and sea view of the flat and location. Overall it's a great experience.
  There is a nearby supermarket, and convenient to fitch food for cooking, although there are few good restaurants in the area if guests prefer not to cook.

  What could be improved: Picking up the keys from the main hotel is easy at check-in, but I prefer to pick up the key at the apartment to avoid the walk.
  Also, I did not like to go to the main hotel to pick up the beach tickets every day. These could have been arranged once by providing an "entry pass card" for the duration of the stay.
  There are a very small number of electricity points in the kitchen, but the manager provided a cable extension which we used to connect the kitchen appliances.
