Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to MEDWORLD Health & Rehabilitation Center Rixos Antalya on Sakıp Sabancı Boulevard, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. The name alone is a mouthful, and honestly, it sounds more like a medical facility than a place you’d want to spend your vacation. But here’s the thing – this 5-star spot in Meltem is actually pretty fascinating once you get past the clinical-sounding title.

The location is solid, I mean really solid. You’re right in Muratpaşa, which puts you close enough to the old town that you can actually walk to Kaleiçi if you’re feeling ambitious (though fair warning, it’s about a 20-minute stroll in the heat). What I loved about staying here is that you get this interesting mix – it’s definitely a wellness-focused place, so don’t expect your typical party hotel atmosphere. The whole vibe leans toward people who are serious about health treatments, spa services, that sort of thing. Actually worked out great for me because the common areas stayed pretty quiet, even during peak summer season.

The rehabilitation center aspect might sound intimidating, but think of it more like having access to really advanced spa and wellness facilities that most hotels just can’t match. I’m talking about proper physiotherapy equipment, medical-grade treatments, stuff you’d usually have to hunt down separately in the city. The staff clearly knows their medical tourism game – lots of international guests coming specifically for various treatments. Parking was never an issue, which is honestly a blessing in this part of Antalya where finding a decent spot can be a nightmare. The rooms themselves are comfortable enough, though don’t expect cutting-edge design – it’s more functional than flashy, which kind of fits the whole health-focused theme. You know what surprised me? The food was actually really good, clearly designed with nutrition in mind but not in that sad, bland way you might expect from a health-oriented place. Check-in was smooth, staff spoke excellent English and German (lots of European medical tourists, apparently), and they really knew how to handle the logistics of longer stays since many guests are there for extended treatment programs. Would I go back? Probably, especially if I needed serious wellness treatments or just wanted a genuinely quiet, health-focused getaway in Antalya.

  The location is great.
  
  What could be improved: The detox and weight loss did not correspond to a detox and weight loss program. It was very oorly organized. If you go on the website of Medworld they say they offer three programs and one is weight loss and detox. I understood that this would be the program I would be following They told me when I arrived that the program I signed up for which says on booking.com detox and weight loss is not the same program and they have another program for booking .com. customers. It was lack of communication from day one and it didn't stop. I spent nine days there and it cost a little over 3000 euros which is a lot of money. I feel cheated and very disappointed.
  
  Please don't confuse the hotel Riox with Medworld. The hotel where I slept, was really nice, but I was interested in losing weight, and not an all inclusive buffet everyday!!!!!!! I insisted that Medworld order for me food that corresponded to a weight loss program. They were still having problems doing that up to the end. Very often there were huge quantities of food being served, or greasy in the beginning. I talked with one of the evening chefs from the Riox hotel and he made a huge effort to produce healthy servings of healthy food for me, and for that I am grateful. However, I came to Medworld be taken care of, not to do everything myself.
