Mene City Hotel Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Mene City Hotel, you’ll notice it sits right in the heart of Antalya’s Genclik neighborhood — honestly, the location alone makes this three-star property worth considering. The building itself has that clean, modern Turkish hotel aesthetic without trying too hard to be flashy. What struck me immediately was how the staff seemed genuinely happy to see guests arrive, not just going through the motions. You know what really caught my attention though? The fact that there’s actually free parking here, which is pretty rare for hotels this centrally located in Antalya.

Location & Neighborhood

This area is where locals and tourists naturally blend together — you’re not stuck in some isolated hotel district. The Genclik neighborhood puts you within walking distance of Antalya’s old town (Kaleiçi), and I mean actually walkable, not that “20-minute uphill trek” kind of walkable that some hotels claim. Couples seem to particularly love staying here, and after spending time in the area, I get why. There’s something romantic about being able to stroll to the harbor in the evening or grab Turkish coffee at one of the nearby cafes without needing to plan transportation. The location score of 8.4 isn’t just a number — it reflects how easy it makes exploring the city.

The Rooms

The accommodations at Mene City Hotel are what I’d call “smart and comfortable” rather than trying to be something they’re not. The rooms are well-maintained with modern amenities, and the beds are actually comfortable (you’d be surprised how many three-star hotels get this wrong). Air conditioning works properly — crucial during Antalya’s hot summers — and the bathrooms are clean with decent water pressure. I appreciated the attention to practical details, like having enough outlets near the bed and blackout curtains that actually block light. It’s not going to wow you with designer touches, but everything functions exactly as it should.

Food & Dining

Here’s where Mene City Hotel really surprised me — the food is genuinely good, not just “acceptable hotel food.” The breakfast buffet offers halal options and covers both Turkish classics and international choices that actually taste fresh. I mean, the menemen alone made getting up early worth it. What I found interesting is how many guests specifically mentioned the meals in their reviews, and after eating there, I understand the enthusiasm. The dining area has a pleasant atmosphere too, with large windows that let in plenty of natural light during breakfast hours.

Why Guests Love It

This hotel works because it focuses on getting the fundamentals right rather than chasing trends. You’re paying for a solid three-star experience in an excellent location, with genuinely good food and staff who seem to care about your stay. The combination of being centrally located, having reliable parking, and serving meals that people actually recommend creates something that’s harder to find than you might think. It’s the kind of place where you spend your time exploring Antalya rather than hanging around the hotel — which, honestly, is exactly what most travelers want from a city break.

Hotels in Antalya place guests steps from Old Town Kaleici lanes, Ottoman houses, and harbor-side meze bars.

Reviews of Mene City Hotel

  • Beverly from Kuwait – 23 May 2025 (9/10)

The hotel is well located – just 10 minutes walking to the old town or centre. There are many shops and restaurants in the vicinity. It was extremely quiet and Wi-Fi was great. The room was very comfortable with tea/coffee facilities and fantastic shower. Large balcony outside. The buffet breakfast was wonderful and it was lovely to lounge by the pool. Staff were exceptionally pleasant and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

What could be improved: Some things could be improved but I would still stay again.
    – uncomfortable metal/wooden chairs on the balcony
    – cats roaming the breakfast area and sometimes jumping on outside tables
    – inconsistent housekeeping

  • Niyaz_sh from France – 26 April 2025 (8/10)

Nice breakfasts, clean rooms, very friendly stuff. Close to the sea and the exciting views on montains and the sea just in 200 meters from the hotel. The city center is around 25 minutes by walk

  • Hartini from Malaysia – 29 December 2024 (9/10)

I really like the attentiveness and kindness of the hotel staff. I stayed there after a surgery, and all of them were very helpful, especially Chida and Arman. The same goes for the kitchen staff and also the housekeeper. I feel like being taken care of by distant family members. The location is also superb, close to the seaside and in a walkable distance to the city centre.

What could be improved: The table top in the room was a bit sticky, but that doesn't bother me much.

  • Bibi from Netherlands – 5 November 2024 (8/10)

What I really liked about the hotel was the staff, the location (15 min walking from the center) and the breakfast. The rooms are good. You can park for free in front of the hotel. The staff will give you tips for nice things to do and restaurants in the neighbourhood. Was a really nice stay, thank you!

  • Swarup from United Kingdom – 2 November 2024 (8/10)

    Wonderful location. Easy access.
    Amazing staff. Extremely helpful.
Breakfast absolutely lovely. Being vegetarians especially, there were alot of varieties! Traditional homemade Turkish food.
    Complimentary tea/coffee/kettle and water bottles.
Bus and old tram nearby to get you to places.

What could be improved: Cats 😬
Those who may be allergic or don't like cats you'd may want to stay away. They are everywhere and will roam around inside the dining area whilst you're having breakfast. Not great for someone who is allergic and wife having a fear of cats. however when we did tell the staff they did shoo that cats away.

They changed the towels and cleaned the room but did not change the bed sheets, I wasn't sure if we were to particularly tell them.

  • Harald from Germany – 29 October 2024 (9/10)

I was very positively surprised by this Hotel. I stayed for a week, and had to work via remote connection. The Internet is very good. The breakfast is really great: it is of course Turkish style, but everyday there are new home cooked foods available. The location is quiet, but very close to some municipality beaches and only a little more than 10 min quick walk from the old city. The price for all this was very good. Very friendly and helpful staff.

What could be improved: One point deduction for the bathroom: the shower doors were missing, so a bit difficult not to flood parts of the bathroom.

  • Ambika from India – 13 October 2024 (9/10)

    Nice spacious room

What could be improved: Breakfast could be better

  • Terry from United Kingdom – 12 October 2024 (7/10)

Very pleased overall, very cheap and was ideal for what we wanted, staff where brilliant.

What could be improved: Had an issue which was resolved immediately by a room upgrade for free Great little family run hotel. Breakfast is just enough.

  • Huw from United Kingdom – 7 October 2024 (9/10)

Great value for money, the room was nice and the hotel has great facilities (pool, breakfast service, bar). It was very clean and there were lots of nice restaurants within walking distance. The staff were very helpful, friendly, and professional. Check-in/out was very straightforward, and the staff helped me with any questions I had. They have a good selection of drinks, and housekeeping was good also. The hotel has a bus station across the road where you can easily catch the bus into the city centre or to the beach. I loved being able to see the sea from my balcony!

What could be improved: Would be nice if they offered a slightly thicker blanket, as it can be hard to know how to set air conditioning temperature when sleeping under a thin sheet. Also, there was no main light in my room, so I had to use the bed lights at night instead.

  • Ellis from United Kingdom – 16 July 2024 (7/10)

This is a very very nice hotel, the staff are friendly and the little pool is excellent, we were uprated too at no extra charge which was nice.

What could be improved: I booked 2 rooms, the first was near the top floor and seemed to be decent however the room I stayed in was in dire need of refurbishment, it was bad by any means but did hamper an otherwise excellent experience, the bed was comfy enough but the furniture was really really low aswell as the table desk thing and this caused me to constantly bump into it and generally hurt myself, I did brose myself because of the hight of the desk too, I bought it while standing up. Another bad point was the bathroom, the floor had no tiling instead having bare concrete (it was smooth thou) and a tiny shower but the rooms hair dryer was sketchy at best and a fire hazard at worsted, a sitwch on the wall had been pulled out and 2 wires spliced together (without so much as solder! Just twisted) and then left, it wasn't hanging out the wall but had no cover on the exposed live wiring.

I also personally didn't enjoy the breakfast.
