Microyal Hotel Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Microyal Hotel? I walked in expecting some standard Turkish coastal place, and instead found myself in what feels like someone’s really well-designed urban loft that just happens to be tucked away in Altınkum. The whole vibe is refreshingly different from the typical Antalya beach hotel scene – no marble lobbies or gold-trimmed everything, just clean lines and thoughtful touches that actually make sense.
The location is honestly perfect if you know Konyaaltı at all. You’re on this quiet residential street (415 Sokak) that most tourists never find, but you’re still close enough to hear the Mediterranean in the background on calm evenings. I mean, you can walk to the main Konyaaltı Beach strip in about ten minutes, but you’re far enough back that you don’t get the constant buzz of scooters and late-night beach bar music. The neighborhood has that lived-in feel – there’s a little bakery around the corner where locals actually go, and you’ll see kids playing football in the small park nearby during late afternoons.
What I really appreciated was how the owners clearly put thought into the small stuff that matters. The rooms aren’t huge, but they’re designed smart – good lighting for actually reading, decent water pressure (which isn’t always a given in boutique places), and air conditioning that doesn’t sound like a helicopter landing. The decor walks this nice line between modern and warm without trying too hard to be Instagram-perfect. They’ve got this breakfast setup that changes slightly based on what’s good at the local market, which sounds simple but honestly makes such a difference from the standard hotel buffet routine.
Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – the staff actually knows the area well enough to give you real recommendations, not just the tourist handbook stuff. They told me about this fish place down toward the marina that I never would have found otherwise, and were honest about which beaches get crowded when (spoiler: avoid weekends in summer if you want space to breathe). Parking isn’t really an issue since you’re in a residential area, though the streets can get a bit narrow if you’re not comfortable with tight spaces.
The whole place runs more like a well-run guesthouse than a traditional hotel, which works really well if you want to feel like you’re staying somewhere with personality. I wouldn’t say it’s perfect – the walls are a bit thin so you might hear your neighbors if they’re early risers, and don’t expect a full concierge service or anything formal like that. But honestly, that’s part of what makes it work. You get the sense that they’re focusing on doing a few things really well rather than trying to be everything to everyone.
If you’re looking for standard resort amenities or want to be right in the thick of the tourist action, this probably isn’t your spot. But if you want to stay somewhere that feels authentic to how people actually live in this part of Antalya – close enough to everything but with room to breathe – Microyal gets it right in ways that surprised me.

Reviews of Microyal Hotel
Hesham from Kuwait – 22 July 2024 (9/10)
Helpful and friendly staff
Location near to beach 5 minutes walk
Many stores nearby
What could be improved: The elevator kept breaking down
Standard rooms are small. Always go for biggerAntonín from Czech Republic – 3 September 2023 (9/10)
Superb location – right next to the beautiful Konyaalti park, but "far" enough from the main road (so no noise from cars etc.), it's like 5min walk to the beach.
Very friendly staff, also staff at the reception desk was able to communicate in English.
Nice room (+ good air conditioning, exceptionally spacious fridge, tea kettle, electric sockets next to the bed, large wardrobe).
The whole hotel feels nice.
Didn't use hotel Wi-Fi so cannot comment on quality (I have bought a cheap e-sim for network data and recommend you do the same – not just in this hotel), but I noticed the room had sockets for Ethernet cable which may be convenient if you have a travel router.
Breakfast menu – some cheese, olives, tomato, red pepper. Simit and other Turkish breads (?). Nutella, jam. Hot food – some kind of egg omelet, and then either aubergine, potatoes, egg bread toast, cake. Hot soup (most often pea). Drinks – tea, water, and coffee machine. Even though I'm not a big fan of Turkish breakfasts, I think breakfasts were okay.
What could be improved: Just minor, rather unimportant things:
Very small bin.
Seems like TV language cannot be changed.
It wasn't possible to close one shower door.
Breakfast – cappuccino from the coffee machine was absolutely horrible, coffee too. Espresso (which was definitely not an espresso) was acceptable, Hot Chocolate was delicious.Nina from Czech Republic – 22 August 2023 (9/10)

What could be improved: Limited car parking.Henk from Germany – 14 July 2023 (9/10)
Location is great , friendly staff , especially the night shift receptionist Janara, was very helpful. Housekeeping good , limited but delicious breakfast “like home” , nearby many good restaurants, beach is 6 min walk , Starbucks and other coffee shops on the way from hotel to the beach , very convenient because coffee at the hotel is instant , not ground. Air conditioning works great. TVs have usb input on the side so I would recommend putting some movies on a flash drive and take with if you like to watch something at night
What could be improved: Rooms and bathrooms are a bit small , only one English ChannelBogdan from Romania – 3 July 2023 (9/10)
