You know what? I stumbled across Mira Hotel Antalya completely by accident last spring, and honestly, it’s become one of those places I find myself recommending to everyone. It’s tucked away on 600. Sokak – which, if you’re not familiar with Antalya, is this quiet little street that most tourists never find because they’re all rushing toward the big resort strips. The thing is, that’s exactly what makes it perfect.

The hotel doesn’t have an official star rating, and I actually think that works in their favor. They’ve got this boutique vibe that feels more like staying at a really stylish friend’s place than some cookie-cutter chain. The owner clearly put thought into every corner – I mean, there are these beautiful Turkish tiles in the lobby that catch the light just right in the afternoons, and the whole place smells faintly of jasmine from the courtyard garden. When I checked in, the staff knew exactly which room would be quietest (apparently the ones facing the courtyard are gold if you’re a light sleeper like me), and they were right. The rooms themselves are surprisingly spacious for a boutique property, with these gorgeous high ceilings that keep everything cool even when it’s blazing outside.

What really sold me on this place, though, is the location. You’re literally a ten-minute walk from Kaleiçi – the old town with all those narrow cobblestone streets and Ottoman houses – but you’re far enough away that you’re not dealing with the tourist crowds every time you step outside. There’s this little bakery around the corner that opens at 6 AM and makes the most incredible simit, and honestly, starting my day there became my routine. The hotel sits in this residential pocket where you actually hear roosters in the morning (which sounds weird but is oddly charming), and the evenings are quiet enough that you can sit on your balcony – most rooms have them – and actually have a conversation without shouting over traffic. Parking was never an issue either, which anyone who’s driven in Turkish cities will tell you is basically a miracle.

I’ll be honest, it’s not perfect – the WiFi can be spotty on the upper floors, and the breakfast, while decent, isn’t going to blow your mind. But the staff genuinely cares about making your stay work, and there’s something refreshing about a place that feels authentic rather than designed by committee. The 8.7 rating it’s got online actually feels about right – it’s really good at what it does without trying to be everything to everyone. If you’re the type who wants to experience Antalya like someone who actually lives there rather than just passing through, this is your spot.

  All staff members are very nice and helpful. Special thanks to Sevim and Hűseyin for everything. Everything is easily accessible from the accommodation. The beach, parks, restaurants, public facilities, the bus that takes you to the old town. Yet quiet and cozy. The room was cleaned every day and the lady was also very nice. The breakfast could be a little more varied, but we still had plenty of good food every day. We wish you more success and many guests!
