The apartment itself is genuinely spacious – and I’m saying this as someone who’s squeezed into plenty of “cozy” European rentals that turned out to be glorified closets. The layout actually works, with rooms that flow into each other naturally rather than feeling like someone just threw up walls wherever. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. You’re on a residential street, so there’s none of that late-night bar chaos you get closer to the old town, but you can still hear the city humming in the distance. The owner clearly knows what they’re doing too – check-in was smooth, and they actually answered their phone when I had questions (again, not always a given).

Here’s the thing about the 7.9 rating – it feels about right. This isn’t going to blow your mind with luxury touches, but it nails the fundamentals that actually matter when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night or two. The kitchen has everything you need if you want to hit the local market and cook something up, which I’d recommend because the produce in this neighborhood is incredible. There’s decent parking nearby, though you might have to circle the block once or twice during busy periods. The area comes alive in the evenings when families start their evening walks – it’s one of those authentic local rhythms you don’t get in hotel districts. Walking to the coast takes maybe fifteen minutes if you’re not in a rush, and you’ll pass some excellent little places to grab tea or breakfast along the way. It’s the kind of spot where you start to feel like you’re living in Antalya rather than just visiting it, you know?
