Necip Bey Konağı Overview
Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places in Antalya, but Necip Bey Konağı is honestly something different. You know when you’re wandering through Kaleiçi’s narrow cobblestone streets and you stumble across one of those perfectly preserved Ottoman mansions that makes you stop and stare? That’s exactly what this place is – except you can actually sleep there.
The location on Hesapçı Sokak is pretty brilliant, actually. You’re deep enough in the old quarter that you feel like you’re living in historical Antalya (I mean, these walls have seen centuries of stories), but you’re still a five-minute walk from Hadrian’s Gate and maybe ten from the marina. The street itself is relatively quiet – well, as quiet as anywhere gets in Kaleiçi during summer. You’ll hear the occasional tour group passing by, but it’s not like staying right on the main drag where the restaurant touts never stop calling out to tourists.
What really gets me about this place is the attention to detail. The owners clearly know what they’re doing – this isn’t some cookie-cutter boutique hotel trying to fake authenticity. The traditional architecture is genuinely restored, not just decorated to look old. You’ll find yourself running your hands along these incredible stone walls and carved wooden details that are actually from the 19th century. The rooms manage to feel both historical and comfortable, which honestly isn’t easy to pull off. I’ve stayed in “historic” hotels where you’re basically camping in a museum, but here you get proper modern bathrooms and decent Wi-Fi without losing that sense of stepping back in time.
The whole check-in experience feels more like visiting someone’s home than a hotel – there’s this personal touch that you just don’t get at the big chain places down by Lara Beach. The staff actually knows the neighborhood and can point you toward the good lokanta tucked away on side streets, not just the obvious tourist spots. They told me about this tiny tea garden I never would have found otherwise, just a few minutes’ walk away.
Parking can be a bit tricky since you’re in the heart of the old town – the streets here weren’t exactly designed for cars. But honestly, once you’re settled in, you won’t want to drive anyway. Everything worth seeing in Kaleiçi is walkable, and when you want to venture further out, taxis are easy enough to find.
The whole place has this wonderful lived-in feeling that’s hard to describe. Maybe it’s the way the morning light hits the courtyard, or how you can hear the call to prayer drifting over from nearby mosques, mixing with the sounds of everyday life in the old quarter. It’s not polished to the point of being sterile – there are little imperfections and quirks that remind you this is a real building with real history, not some theme park version of Ottoman architecture. With ratings hovering around 8.7, it’s clear other travelers get what makes this place special too. It’s the kind of spot where you actually feel connected to Antalya’s past while still being comfortable in the present.

Wonderful hotel in the centre of the old city. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We arrived from the airport at 8 a.m., it was a difficult flight, we wanted to leave our luggage and walk around the city, but we were too tired, we had no strength to go somewhere. The employee placed us in the room and did not even charge an additional fee for early check-in. It was very nice! I would also like to note the very tasty breakfasts, cleanliness on the territory of the hotel and daily cleaning of rooms, including linen and towels if necessary.
The hotel is located in the centre of the promenade next to the mosque. Keep in mind that it can be noisy. It didn't prevent us from having a great rest.
I recommend this hotel!Nadezda from Cyprus – 18 August 2024 (9/10)

The place itself is very well located , right in the heart of old Town of Antalya. The room was cute and clean. The place is very lively. If you're vegetarian or vegan , don't expect any food to be served . We ate stale hard bread for the whole of our stay and apparently restaurant doesn't serve vegetarian food. (Or so I was told)
