You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first walked down 1297 Sokak – it’s this narrow cobblestone street tucked away in Haşim İşcan, and honestly, you might walk right past it if you’re not paying attention. But then you spot number 6, and suddenly you get it. This isn’t just another rental property trying to cash in on Antalya’s tourism boom; it’s actually someone’s labor of love turned into what might be the most charming place to stay in the old town.

The villa itself feels like stepping into a friend’s beautifully restored Ottoman house – which, I mean, is basically what it is. The owner clearly knows their stuff because every detail screams authentic restoration rather than that fake-antique look you see everywhere. The rooms have these gorgeous high ceilings that keep things naturally cool (trust me, you’ll appreciate this in July), and the stone walls… well, they’ve got stories to tell. What really got me though was the rooftop terrace – you can see straight across to the old harbor, and if you time it right around sunset, you’ll understand why this place has a 9.5 rating. The sound of the evening call to prayer drifting over from Yivli Minare while you’re sipping Turkish tea up there? Pure magic.

Here’s the thing about staying in Kaleiçi – and locals will tell you this – location is everything, and this villa nailed it. You’re literally a three-minute walk from Hadrian’s Gate (skip the crowds and go early morning), and somehow you’re also tucked away enough that you won’t hear the late-night revelry from the harbor bars. I actually slept with the windows open most nights, just listening to the cats having their midnight conversations in the courtyard below. Parking can be a bit of an adventure since cars barely fit down these old streets, but the owners sorted that out for us – apparently there’s a little arrangement with a spot just around the corner. The check-in was refreshingly personal too; instead of some corporate spiel, we got actual recommendations for the fish place that doesn’t cater to tourists (it’s down by the marina, no sign in English) and warnings about which carpet shops to avoid. These are the kinds of touches that make you feel like you’re staying with friends rather than just booking a room. Fair warning though – if you’re the type who needs a big resort pool and room service, this probably isn’t your scene. But if you want to wake up in the heart of 2,000-year-old streets and feel like you’ve discovered Antalya’s best-kept secret, book this place before everyone else figures it out.

  Location was great, the villa was clean and cozy. It is very cool inside even in hot days, which is great.
  Very nice terrace. There is a dishwasher and a washing machine, that makes things easier.
  The kitchen is equipped ok, nothing fancy.
  The host was absolutely fantastic, responded very quickly.
  P.S. the shower heads that another guest mentioned in the review, were definitely replaced with some fancy ones.
  
  What could be improved: Keep in mind that taxies might leave you a few hundred meters away from the building since the road might be blocked by other cars. The fridge is "raining" inside, a bit annoying, but we just covered all the food and had to swipe the water a couple of times a day. The neighbours were quite loud from time to time, but what can you do.

  The location was excellent and the villa was comfortable but we felt it could have a few things updated – shower head, pillows, curtains, little things that make a stay more pleasant. Manager was excellent with help and communication.

  Boendet var rymligt och mysigt. Köket var väl utrustat. Läget var fantastiskt, några minuters promenad till Atatürk Cd och alla affärer och sedan några minuter till så var man inne i gamla stan.

  We had an amazing week in Antalya, this place was perfect for us, clean, quiet and with all the facilities we needed, AC in all the rooms, TV, iron, washing machine and more. Evren was kind very helpful and communicative during our stay. I totally recommend this place!

  Шикарное расположение в самом центре старого города. Очень удобно добираться из аэропорта, и в целом перемещаться по городу на общественном транспорте, большое количество кафе, магазинов в шаговой доступности.
  
  What could be improved: Далековато до пляжей, но в целом в Антальи нет привычной первой линии, в любом случае нужно будет добираться) При налили транспорта такой проблемы конечно нет.

  Lovely old villa with quaint features and in a nice quiet location. It was a bit like going back in time ! Nice garden too with an orange tree which came in handy for the night time cocktails! The host , Evren was extremely helpful and nothing was too much to ask for him. The property is in walking distance of the high street and lots of nice restaurants and shops around.
  
  What could be improved: Some of the minor home furnishing needs updating but feedback has been provided to the host who very generously accepted this.
