Oldies Hotel Overview

You know what struck me first about Oldies Hotel? Walking down Uzun Çarşı Sokak, you almost miss it entirely – which is actually part of its charm. This little boutique spot sits tucked away in the heart of Kaleici’s old quarter, and I mean truly in the thick of things. The narrow cobblestone street outside gets pretty lively during the day with locals heading to the small shops and cafes, but honestly, that’s what makes staying here feel authentic rather than touristy.

The building itself has this weathered stone facade that fits perfectly with the Ottoman-era architecture surrounding it. Inside, they’ve done something really clever – kept all the historical character (think exposed stone walls and arched doorways) but added modern touches that actually work. The rooms aren’t huge, which you’d expect in a converted old building, but they’re thoughtfully designed. I particularly loved the way morning light filters through the traditional wooden shutters. The owner, who’s usually around during check-in, clearly knows the neighborhood inside and out – he gave me directions to this tiny lokanta just two streets over that I never would’ve found otherwise.

What really sets this place apart, though, is the location within Kaleici. You’re literally a three-minute walk from Hadrian’s Gate, and the harbor is maybe five minutes if you don’t get distracted by the antique shops along the way. But here’s the thing – while you’re right in the historic center, Uzun Çarşı Sokak is just quiet enough that you’re not dealing with the main tourist crowds stumbling back from bars at 2 AM. I mean, you’ll still hear some street noise during the day, but it’s more like the gentle hum of neighborhood life rather than chaos. The 8.2 rating makes sense to me – it’s not trying to be a luxury resort, but it delivers exactly what it promises: a genuine stay in one of Turkey’s most beautiful old quarters. If you’re the type who’d rather discover hidden corners of Antalya than lounge by a pool, this little spot will probably win you over completely.

  Brilliant staff, really helpful, a great room, very clean and well presented. It’s a great location to explore the could town and harbour.
  
  What could be improved: The hotel is situated in quite a noisy neighbourhood – street chatter and Music, so bring earplugs to help sleeping. Also be aware the streets are very narrow and busy so if getting taxi it’s probably wise to get out at the main road and walk down.

  The staff was extremely welcoming and nice, the room was clean and well equipped, the hotel is right in the center so it’s easy to walk around and enjoy the city vibe!

  Everything was super, kind and friendly staff, amazing service, good breakfast.
  Parking was good and near to hotel.
  Location is amaizing the best one to see all this ancient historical place.
  
  What could be improved: I was informed that could be very loud outside at night time, but I didnt expect so loud and so long time.
  I think you should upgrade or change your windows to decrease the very loud music from outside.

  Very friendly and helpful owner with perfect English, best location. Inexpensive cafe in the hotel. Good room for the money.
  
  What could be improved: Please note that there is a big rock club just in front of the hotel. The owner honestly warns you before booking. But If you are not fond of loud music till 3 a.m, that is not your place.

  It was a super cute and cozy hotel! Very small and feels pretty private! Rooms are nicely decorated and renovated! In a prime location as well/
  
  What could be improved: There is a popular bar right in front of the hotel, which does make it very noisy at night until around 4am. It wasn’t too bad and we were able to fall asleep, but definitely something to consider

  Very welcoming host(s). Nice clean room. A bit noisy in the evening, but I guess that should be expected in the old town and the hotel informs about it beforehand. The bed and cushions were comfortable. I had a nice hot shower as the room was a bit chilly in the evening. But then I realized that it was even possible to heat the room via air-conditioning. I can really recommend a stay here! 🙂
  
  What could be improved: There wasn't a lot of space on the ground, but this also could have been expected as it is possible to see in the pictures here. Didn't bother me.

  The staff could not have been more helpful and were all very friendly and interesting personalities. The property itself won an award whilst we we there and is brand new as of February 2025. Plush towels, really good quality soaps, shampoo and body creme are available from dispensers in the showers and by the sink. I'll be booking for October as soon as I hae made my next dentist appointment!
  
  What could be improved: It can be noisy due to a popular nightclub being just next door so bring some earplugs if your sleep is easily disturbed.

  The staff, the view, and the location were all fabulous. I really experienced the beauty of Kaleici. It's a really quiet corner during the day and the view offers amazing experience at each hour.
  
  What could be improved: I'm a noise sensitive person, and the club nearby starts their really loud (like it plays in my room) around 9 pm till 3 am. Even though the music is gone by 3 am then they start cleaning all the glass bottles, etc. and the noise continues till 5 am. I had really poor sleeps even though the place was really peaceful during the day.
