Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Özhan Hotel on that narrow side street off Hasan Subaşı, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. It’s tucked away in Kışla Mahallesi, which is actually perfect because you’re close enough to the old town action but far enough that you won’t hear drunk tourists stumbling around at 3 AM. The building itself has this understated charm that grows on you – nothing flashy, just solid and welcoming in that Turkish way where hospitality isn’t performed, it just is.

What really struck me was how the owners (and I mean this in the best way) clearly didn’t care about getting some official star rating. They’ve created something more interesting than your standard cookie-cutter hotels – it’s got character, you know? The rooms have these thoughtful touches that you only notice when you’ve stayed in too many generic places. Maybe it’s the way the bathroom tiles catch the morning light, or how they’ve managed to make small spaces feel actually comfortable rather than cramped. The whole place feels lived-in but well-maintained, if that makes sense. I mean, you’re not getting marble lobbies or whatever, but honestly, who needs that when you can walk to Kaleiçi’s cobblestone streets in about ten minutes?

Here’s what I wish someone had told me before booking – parking can be a bit of an adventure in this neighborhood, so if you’re driving, maybe scout it out during the day first. The staff actually knows the area well enough to give you real directions, not just “turn left at the big building” nonsense. And timing matters here – during peak summer months, that 7.5 rating probably jumps higher because the location really shines when you can wander the old town in the evenings then retreat to somewhere quieter. The whole Muratpaşa district has this authentic feel that the beachfront hotels just can’t match, plus you’re actually living where locals live, not in some tourist bubble. Sure, it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury, but it does something better – it feels real. You’ll probably find yourself lingering over breakfast longer than planned, partly because the morning light is lovely, but mostly because there’s no rush to escape like there is at those big resort places.

  The staff was polite, the room was very clean, cleaned every day, the breakfast was good, maybe a little more variety is needed, excellent location, very close to the shopping street and old town

  The place is in a quiet location and the services are close. I came back again quickly. I liked the deal, the internet is strong, and the family room is spacious and has a large balcony. Thank you to everyone, to the two brothers and Radwan, and to the owner of the place, who seeks to satisfy everything you want with great happiness.

  The location is amazing. Very close to main street, Mark antalya mall for amazing food court .
  Room was clean but the toilet needs maintenance. But overall nice facilities.
  The location for the price is just value.
  
  What could be improved: Breakfast could be better but that's the general breakfast in turkey overall.
  I tried breakfast in 3 different places 3 consecutive days, but it was same thing every where.
  No sound proof wall's are also general issue but it's ok.
  The bathroom lock was not working and was also not fixed in my 3 days stay.
  The above are just minute details. But overall its a nice place to stay and highly recommended.

  What could be improved: There was a lot of noise from other rooms until the morning itself, and this was obviously not due to the hotel, it was the hotel guests who didn't understand that you shouldn't be loud in the middle of the night when other guests are sleeping.
