You know what caught me off guard about Park Hotel Rooms & Apart? I walked past it twice before realizing this was actually the place – it’s tucked into this quiet residential street (1311. Sokak) that honestly feels more like where locals live than where tourists usually end up. But that’s exactly what makes it special. The building itself is this charming converted house situation, and I mean, you can immediately tell someone put real thought into transforming it rather than just slapping together another generic hotel.

The rooms are… well, they’re actually apartments, which explains the “Apart” part of the name. Mine had this little kitchenette that I didn’t think I’d use but ended up being perfect for morning coffee and storing those amazing Turkish pastries you inevitably buy too many of. What really impressed me was how quiet everything was – you’re maybe a 10-minute walk from all the Old Town craziness (Kaleiçi is right there), but at night you actually get to sleep. The owner, this genuinely helpful guy who speaks solid English, mentioned they specifically chose this spot because it’s residential. Smart move, honestly. The décor walks that fine line between modern and traditional Turkish style without going overboard on either side – there are these beautiful kilim rugs and local artwork, but you’ve also got proper Wi-Fi and air conditioning that actually works.

Here’s the thing that really sold me on this place: the attention to small stuff that bigger hotels always mess up. The shower has proper water pressure (trust me, this matters in Turkey), there’s actual storage space for your clothes, and – this is huge – they give you a local SIM card option and have these detailed neighborhood maps with hand-written notes about which bakery has the best börek and where to catch the dolmuş to the beach. I spent three days there and kept discovering little touches, like how they stock the kitchenette with local tea and honey, or how the balcony furniture is actually comfortable enough to sit in for more than five minutes. The whole setup feels more like staying at a friend’s place who happens to have impeccable taste and knows exactly what travelers need. Is it fancy? Not really. Is it one of those places you end up recommending to everyone? Absolutely. Plus, and I can’t stress this enough, the location means you’re walking distance from both the marina and the old city walls, but you’re not paying those inflated tourist-zone prices for everything.

  Just freshly renovated boutique hotel. Very clean and tidy. Family-owned. Owners and Employees of the hotel are very friendly and helpful. I recommend to stay in the room with the terrace.

  Traveled with my mom and brother, and we really enjoyed our stay. The room was a bit small for three people, but it was very clean and had everything we needed. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We asked for a late check-out before arriving, and they kindly gave it to us free of charge. We also received a delicious complimentary breakfast upon arrival and were treated to fresh fruit from their own garden. The hotel is located right next to a park and in the town center, which made it easy to reach local attractions and beaches.

  The hotel is well located. Room was perfectly clean, looked just like on pictures. The bed was comfortable and the bed sheets were fresh. It was a short stay for us, but highly recommend.

  What a wonderful little hotel! Location is great, close to the center, not loud at night. Everything is clean, breakfast is very tasty. All the employees are very friendly and helpful, they did everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible!

  The location is great – we were able to easily walk to restaurants and sites in the area. For as much noise the neighborhood had, we didn't have trouble with sounds in the room. There is no lift, but staff carried our luggage for us, starting when he met us outside by our car when we arrived. The room was very large and clean. Unfortunately we did not have time for breakfast. We would definitely stay again.
  
  What could be improved: Took a long time for hot water, but it didn't run out once it came.
