Perlo Hotel City Overview

So I stumbled across Perlo Hotel City during one of those late-night booking sessions where you’re scrolling endlessly through options, and honestly? It turned out to be one of those happy accidents. This place sits tucked away on 635 Sokak in the Arapsuyu neighborhood – which, if you know Antalya at all, puts you in this interesting sweet spot where you’re close enough to everything but not drowning in the tourist chaos of Kaleiçi.

The thing about Perlo is that it doesn’t try to be something it’s not. There’s no official star rating plastered everywhere, and you know what? That actually works in its favor. The owners clearly put their energy into the details that matter rather than chasing some bureaucratic classification. When I walked in, the lobby had this relaxed, almost residential feel – like staying at a friend’s really well-designed apartment building. The staff remembered my name by day two (I mean, it helps that I’m probably one of the few Americans who ends up there), and they genuinely seemed to care about whether I found that little bakery around the corner they’d recommended.

Location-wise, you’re about a 15-minute walk to the old town if you take the scenic route down toward the harbor, or you can hop on one of the local buses that run pretty regularly. I actually preferred walking because you pass through some of those residential streets where locals are hanging laundry and kids are playing football – gives you a much better sense of actual Antalya life than the postcard views everyone else is chasing. The neighborhood gets quiet at night, which was perfect for me since I’m one of those people who can hear a pin drop when trying to sleep. Parking was surprisingly manageable too – there’s street parking that doesn’t require a PhD in Turkish bureaucracy to figure out.

Here’s the thing though – this isn’t going to be everyone’s cup of tea. If you need a concierge who can arrange helicopter tours or you’re expecting marble everything, you might want to look elsewhere. But if you appreciate a place that feels authentic, where the breakfast includes actual local ingredients (not just generic hotel fare), and where you can have a real conversation with the people running the place, then Perlo hits that mark. The rooms are clean and comfortable without being fancy – sort of like staying in a modern Turkish apartment that someone with good taste put together. I’d definitely stay there again, especially since I discovered this incredible little fish restaurant just two blocks away that I never would have found if I’d been staying in one of those big resort complexes down by the beach.

Reviews of Perlo Hotel City

  • Mahmoud from Saudi Arabia – 29 May 2025 (8/10)

For the 3rd year, i come with family for perlo hotel. It is still the same everytime.
Very nice staff, helpful and polite.
    Very nice location.
    Very good breakfast
They are very nice. The swimming pool as per their policy was closed till May, 31st. After we arriverd on May, 23rd we asked them to open it for us and they fill it and cleaned it.
Really i appreciate all the hotel staff.
I recommend it for every one visiting Antalya

  • Hylke from Netherlands – 3 April 2025 (9/10)

Had a pleasant stay here. The night porter Şükrü makes the place even better, always available for a tea and a nice chat.

  • Jørn from Norway – 16 October 2024 (8/10)

It was a delicious breakfast, friendly staff and free coffe and tea.

What could be improved: Over two months before I arrived the hotel confirmed that I would get the specifically room I had order. When I arrived they had given the room to somebody else. I stayed in that room for two nights and got the chance to move to the room I was promised after two nights. They should not promise and confirm something when they cant keep it. It surprises me that they dont have the possibillity to block a room for other guests when I ordered it over two months before. This is possible for other hotels I have been visiting.

  • Roman from Russia – 30 September 2024 (8/10)

I would like to thank the hotel for its hospitality. There are several advantages that I would like to highlight. Constant cleaning, we had it every other day. Quiet enough area. Of course, you can hear the prayers that have a schedule, but this does not interfere. There is a very beautiful elevator, a swimming pool, a beautiful hall and floor area. Hot water and good water pressure. Cute dog. 500 meters to a good beach. No problems with public transport if you walk for 5 minutes. Friendly staff. Someone speaks English, someone speaks Russian. I would also like to thank the administrator Bariş. A good person. So that my review does not seem too ideal, I want to say a couple of minuses. Perhaps for someone this will not be important. There are no dishes and cutlery in the room, none at all. There is no safe. Breakfasts are quite monotonous, someone may not like this. General fatigue of the room. The pool in September was very cool and deep enough. Despite all this, my overall impression is 10/10 regarding the price / quality ratio. If I am in Antalya, I will choose again.

  • Maksim from United Kingdom – 29 September 2024 (7/10)

Good location, good breakfast, 24/7 reception.

What could be improved: Room access card was switcing off almost every day, had to re-activate at reception, should be easy to fix? Bathroom mirror has a backlight that won't switch off, illuminates the room at night

  • Basim from Iraq – 11 September 2024 (7/10)

    location

What could be improved: poor breakfast, with a dog around people taking their breakfast,

  • Francine from United Kingdom – 15 August 2024 (7/10)

The cafe serves very good free food, which was very high quality I must say; they had a swimming pool for leisure and the indoor lobby was very cozy. Beyond my expectations.

What could be improved: The wifi was a bit slow my liking but varies depending on what floor you were on.

  • Piotr from Poland – 8 August 2024 (8/10)

big, shadowed, clean swimming pool made for small and old fashioned room. close to nice beach, very nice personel.

What could be improved: room and bathroom needs renovation, small and not equiped

  • Mouad from Morocco – 11 July 2024 (8/10)

The staff was very nice and welcoming, especially Shukur, who was exceptionally kind and thoughtful. The location is fantastic, less than a 10-minute walk to the beach, with plenty of coffee shops, restaurants, and pubs nearby. There's also a convenient bus to the city centre. Breakfast was healthy and delicious.

What could be improved: the room cleanliness was disappointing, especially the toilet and shower. The shower drain was clogged, causing water to overflow into the sink and toilet area. Additionally, the bed and pillows were not great.

  • Hannah from United Kingdom – 14 April 2024 (7/10)

The staff are wonderful, really hospitable and helpful and go out of their way to help you. the free breakfast is decent and there is always free tea and coffee. it is also a very short 5 min walk to the beach with lots of restaurants near by, and near to bus stops to take you in to the old town, cable car and other attractions.

What could be improved: Booking.com said their pool would be open- I checked this before booking, but it was closed which was extremely disappointing as this was the reason we booked this hotel, so if booking before around May, message to check this first.
The rooms are small and run down, there is no ventilation in the bathrooms at all- but it is under new management and is currently being refurbished so I am sure it will be lovely within the next few months.
