Honestly, when I first pulled up to Pukka Hotel on Belediye Cd, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect – it’s one of those places that doesn’t fit into the typical star rating system, which actually turned out to be exactly what made it special. The building has this understated charm that you’d walk right past if you weren’t looking for it, tucked between the more obvious tourist spots in Konyaaltı Altınkum.

What struck me right away was how the owners seemed to get that not everyone wants the cookie-cutter hotel experience. I mean, you’re literally a few minutes’ walk from that gorgeous stretch of Konyaaltı Beach, but instead of playing up the obvious beach hotel angle, they’ve created something that feels more like staying at a well-traveled friend’s place. The lobby – well, it’s barely a lobby, more like a living room where the staff actually remembers your name after day one. Check-in was refreshingly casual, none of that formal desk ceremony you get at the bigger chains. The guy working there gave me the real scoop on which local spots were worth hitting up and which ones were tourist traps (pro tip: he was absolutely right about that little café around the corner).

The rooms themselves are what I’d call thoughtfully simple. Nothing flashy, but everything works, and there are these small touches that show someone put actual thought into what travelers need. The beds are comfortable enough that I didn’t spend the first night adjusting to weird pillows, and the bathroom had decent water pressure – you know how hit-or-miss that can be in boutique places. One thing that really won me over was how quiet it gets at night, despite being on a main road. I’m usually a light sleeper, but the windows actually block out most of the street noise, and the neighborhood settles down pretty early anyway. Parking was surprisingly easy too – there’s space right out front, which is honestly a small miracle in this part of Antalya. The whole area comes alive during the day with locals heading to the beach or grabbing lunch, but it has this nice residential feel that makes you feel less like a tourist and more like you’re just staying in the neighborhood for a while. It’s not going to blow your mind with fancy amenities, but if you want a genuine, comfortable base for exploring Antalya without the tourist hotel markup, Pukka gets it right.

  Well designed room with a comfortable bed, small balcony, walk-in shower, mini fridge, tea and coffee making facilities. Restaurants right next door, and the hotel is opposite a taxi stop.

  The staff is very welcoming and friendly. Location is perfect both for a city walk and to the sea. clean and a well designed room.

  What could be improved: – shortage of towels the day we arrived
  – the bathroom had been quickly cleaned up and looked like it had just been used but everything was perfect by the next day
  – balcony also looked like it had just been used, with visible cigarette buds
  It would be great if the chairs could be reorganized and the floor swept before the next clients

  Excellent location, 5 min walk to the beach. There’s a beautiful park across.
  The stuff is very helpful. Rooms are cosy and newly furnished.

  i loved my loft room. window opened wide and could just see the sea on one side and mountains to the other side. was a good views.
