You know what surprised me most about the Ramada Plaza Antalya? It’s actually got that rare balance where it feels upscale without being stuffy. I mean, walking into the lobby, you get this immediate sense that they’ve put real thought into the design — there’s this warm, modern Turkish aesthetic that doesn’t scream “generic international hotel.” The location on Fevzi Çakmak Caddesi is honestly perfect if you want to feel like you’re staying somewhere that matters in the city rather than just another tourist bubble.

The thing is, this part of Gençlik Mahallesi puts you right in the mix of actual Antalya life. You’re maybe a fifteen-minute walk from the old town (Kaleiçi), but you’re also surrounded by real neighborhoods where locals actually live and work. I loved stepping out in the morning and grabbing Turkish tea from the little café around the corner — something you’d never find if you were stuck in one of those resort complexes outside the city. The staff seemed genuinely surprised when I mentioned I’d been exploring the side streets, which tells you most guests probably stick to the main tourist circuit. Their loss, honestly.

What really won me over was how they handle the details that matter when you’re actually living in a place for a few days. The rooms are spacious enough that you’re not tripping over your suitcase, and — this might sound silly — but the shower pressure is fantastic. After walking around Antalya’s hills all day, that matters more than you’d think. The 8.1 rating makes sense when you consider it’s delivering five-star comfort without the pretension you sometimes get at that level. There’s reliable WiFi throughout (I was working remotely part of the time), the air conditioning actually works properly, and housekeeping doesn’t barge in at weird hours. Plus, parking isn’t the nightmare it can be in this part of the city — they’ve got it sorted, which saves you from circling the narrow streets looking for a spot. If you’re planning to use this as a base for exploring both historic Antalya and maybe day trips along the coast, it’s positioned really well for that. You get the urban energy without sacrificing comfort, and that’s harder to find than you’d expect.

  Ramada Hotel was in a good location, short walk to the center but situated in a calm area. Had several local restaurants nearby with excellent food. The room was very comfortable and spacious. Ramada has a private beach with a beautiful view of the sea and mountains, this is really special as the beach it’s carved in the rock. It also has “secret” tunnel giving access to the spa. We tried the Turkish bath in the hotel spa which enriched further our experience. The staff were lovely.
  
  What could be improved: We thought the breakfast could be improved, ex. scrambled eggs and bread, as well as having some options of natural juices. However there were a few things we enjoyed and felt in general was a healthy breakfast with options of salads and fruits.

  The location is brilliant and is central, walking distance the old town and other sights to see.
  The hotel has something for everyone and all age groups and the food ( we had a deal for breakfast and dinner) was super.
  The best part of the hotel is the view you get into the sea which is breathtaking!
  Great option for families and those who want to not stay far away on the beach properties.
  
  What could be improved: The amenities in the room were very basic including no shampoo/ conditioner. They had an all in one soap.
  We also did not have coffee mugs in the room. You had to pay for it if you wanted it, however they have paper cups if needed.
  But the staff was super helpful and eventually agreed to give us the mugs without a charge.

  Fabulous building, pool decks, views, grand and special. Room was lovely. Everything exceptional except breakfast which I thought was good, but not great.

  The hotel was just fab – great location and really lovely outdoor pool and spa facilities . I would have given 10 if the access from the jetty to the water was open – such a shame it wasn’t as the weather was glorious

  I read earlier reviews and honestly expected mediocre food but it exceeded my expectations. Everything was delicious and varied. I can't get enough of Turkish pastry and vegetable dishes. There was one festive night during my stay when a band played in the restaurant and the place itself was nicely decorated.
  The bathroom facilities were quite suitable.
  The staff responded helpfully to all of my requests.
  The hotel is located on a quiet street away from the hustle of the old town, and it overlooks the bay. One can see the sea and the mountains from the restaurant, or walk to a nearby park with several observation spots.
  
  What could be improved: First, I was given a room that overlooked an unpleasant backyard, on a lower floor with little light. It was also big enough for three people and didn't feel cosy at all. But I asked for a change and was offered a room on a higher floor in the same category (or an upgrade for extra money). The room I eventually stayed in was cosy enough although the window did not open. The view of the city from above was quite interesting. There was a problem with ventilation and the room would get hot at times. It's not clear to me why there is always fresh and cool air in the hallway but no cool air can be supplied to the rooms in winter (as per the note by the air conditioning panel).
  Generally, the hotel would benefit from updating the carpets and surfaces.
  The pillows were extremely uncomfortable. They are too bulky and hard, especially for people with neck issues. I had four of them on the bed but I ended up using my airplane pillow instead.
  The terrace of the restaurant is filled with smokers in the morning. The outdoor seating at the bar is divided but the non-smoking area has been taken over by cats, and there is a strong smell.
