So I stumbled across Roma Residence – Emir Gürsu Evleri during one of those late-night booking sessions when you’re desperately trying to find something decent that won’t break the bank, and honestly? I got way luckier than I deserved. This place sits in the Gürsu neighborhood, which – and here’s something the tourist guides won’t tell you – is actually where a lot of locals prefer to live because you get that residential calm without being stuck in the middle of nowhere. The building itself is part of this newer development on 306th Street, and while the address sounds a bit corporate with the whole “B Block” thing, don’t let that fool you. It’s actually quite charming once you’re there.

What really struck me about this place is how they’ve managed to nail that sweet spot between feeling like a proper hotel and having the comfort of, well, actually living somewhere for a while. The apartments (because that’s really what they are) have this lived-in quality that makes you want to kick off your shoes immediately – you know that feeling when a place just works? The kitchens are actually functional, not those sad hotel kitchenettes with a broken coffee maker and no real counter space. I mean, I ended up cooking breakfast most mornings because the local market on the main road has incredible fresh produce, and having a real fridge to store everything was… honestly, it was kind of revolutionary after staying in standard hotel rooms for years. The whole setup feels very Turkish in the best way – practical, comfortable, designed for real life rather than just Instagram photos.

The neighborhood itself is what really sells it for me, though. You’re about a fifteen-minute walk from the tourist chaos, but right here it’s actually quiet enough to sleep with the windows open (which is saying something in Antalya). There’s this little tea garden around the corner that the hotel staff mentioned – not marked on any tourist maps, just a spot where neighbors gather in the evenings. The building’s parking situation is actually sorted, which anyone who’s driven in Turkish cities will appreciate, and the check-in was refreshingly straightforward. The staff seemed genuinely pleased to see guests rather than just going through the motions. Look, it’s not going to blow your mind with fancy amenities or concierge services, but sometimes what you really want is a place that feels like home base while you’re exploring. That 8.8 rating makes sense – it’s the kind of spot where everything just works the way it should, without any nasty surprises or those little disappointments that can derail a trip.

  The property was very comfortable, felt like home, the neighbourhood was quiet, the staff were helpful and friendly. I stayed there for a week with family and my baby. The last day my baby fell asleep at checking out time, so we checked out one hour later than the time. They were nice with this inconvenience. We also checked in earlier than we were supposed to. They were so hospitable with us.
  
  What could be improved: I think the cutlery in the kitchen should be more. They were adequate though.

  Superb location for a reasonable price, the beach is 3 mins away. The apartment is well equipped and had everything we needed for cooking. We have had no issues while staying there.

  We booked a duplex apartment with 2 bedrooms. It looked exactly as the pics shown on the site. So we are happy to get what-you-see. The place is clean with all the amenities working fine – kettle, microwave, sinks, washing machine. The kitchen is also well equipped with cutleries, plates, pots etc. There are 2 bathrooms, one on the lower level and one located at the upper lever besides the 2nd bedroom that works out well among 3 adults. It also have 2 balconies, a huge one next to the upper bedroom and the a smaller one on the lower level. Things to note is they don't provide toiletries, so do BYO. There is also no housekeeping included in the booking. It'll cost 15 euros per day if you'd want to have housekeeping. We were fine without during our 12 days stay there.
  
  What could be improved: These are more suggestions to improve than what we didn't like. There are no mirrors in the twin bedroom located at the upper level. It could be better if you can install a wall mirror or provide a standing mirror or a dresser with mirror. The only mirror is in the bathroom on that level. Thus, it was sort of inconvenient when 2 people were getting ready when one was using the bathroom. Also, if you can provide a clothes hanger rack on the balcony at the upper level will be good too as the space is huge and could be better utilized. We improvised by tying strings to hang our laundries.

  24/7 reception, they come if you call them 4 am. They let us sleep out paying for one night even though we were supposed to checkout before checking in to the other apartment we rented from them for the rest of the stay, superb service!
  The location is 3minutes from the beach and is about 10km to Antalya by car.
  
  It's properly cleaned after each guests too so props to the cleaner!!
  
  What could be improved: You can hear straight through the main door so all the sound in the stairs/outside is hear-able throughout the first floor and as well possibly upstairs as well if you chose that apartment.
  You can hear everything from the neighbors next door (that are built right next to each other w the walls) as well so good luck sleeping if they have kids or walk loudly in the stairs, also something to keep in mind if you have neighbors.
  Aside from that the location is very quiet.
