But that’s exactly what makes it special – it feels like stumbling onto a secret that only adults get to be in on (and I mean that literally, since it’s 12+ only). The building itself has this gorgeous Ottoman-era stone facade that just melts into the old quarter’s walls, and when you step inside, there’s this immediate sense of… well, grown-up tranquility. No kids running around the lobby, no family drama at breakfast – just this lovely, sophisticated calm that’s honestly pretty rare in Antalya’s tourist zone.

The location is actually perfect if you want to be in the heart of Kaleici without dealing with the chaos of the main drags. You’re maybe a two-minute walk from Hadrian’s Gate – which, side note, looks absolutely magical lit up at night when all the day-trippers have gone home. The hotel’s right in that sweet spot where you can duck into the narrow alleyways and discover these tiny art galleries and carpet shops that tourists never find, but you’re still close enough to the harbor that you can hear the boats clinking softly in the marina. I loved how the staff knew all the local spots too – they pointed me toward this incredible little meyhane (Turkish tavern) just around the corner that I never would’ve found otherwise. The rooms have this boutique feel that’s sophisticated without being stuffy, and the beds are honestly some of the most comfortable I’ve slept in – which matters when you’re planning to explore Antalya’s old town on foot all day.

What really sets Route Hotel apart, though, is how it captures that intimate, adults-only vibe without feeling exclusive or pretentious. The common areas have this wonderful mix of Ottoman architectural details and modern comfort – think original stone archways with really good lighting and furniture you actually want to sit in. Breakfast is served in this beautiful courtyard space where you can hear the call to prayer drifting over from the nearby mosque (it’s actually quite peaceful, not disruptive at all). The whole place just feels thoughtfully curated rather than mass-produced, which is exactly what you want when you’re staying in a neighborhood that’s been around for literally centuries. If you’re looking for a place that feels authentically Antalya but still gives you that boutique hotel experience – and you appreciate not having to navigate around families with screaming toddlers – this is honestly one of the best choices in Kaleici.

  The location was excellent, right in the heart of the Old Town, and easy walking distance to the Antalya Port. There were many restaurant, bar, and shopping options, right outside our front door. Our room was very clean and large, the bed was comfortable. Our room included breakfast which was amazing, and included wonderful coffee options! The staff were friendly and accommodating. The hotel restaurant, where we had our breakfast every morning was lovely and inviting. The A/C worked well! We would definitely recommend this hotel for your stay in beautiful Antalya!
  
  What could be improved: This was not a problem for us, but our room was located on a busy pedestrian street, so if you are a light sleeper, you might want to consider ear plugs. Also, the bathroom was a bit small, but again, not a problem for us.

  Beautifully decorated property with a relaxing garden space for drinking and dining. The wonderful staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The breakfast was exceptional. We would highly recommend route hotel if you want a cool and vibey stay in the heart of Antalya old town. The hotel dog, Rec, brought us lots of joy.

  It was a nice stay, great location and most of the staff very friendly and helpful. The windows are quite thin, so gets louder till midnight, there are restaurants with live music around. The hotel provides earplugs automatically. So recommending for the people who seek some music and active evenings. Best breakfast in amazing patio, fireplace in the evening.. lovely dog and occasionally cats.

  Amazing location in the heart of the old town; make sure you book the Olive Garden suite if available as this was one of the best rooms we stayed in during our two week holiday around Turkey. Lovely staff who really go out of their way to help guests. Burgers at the restaurant are top class. Car parking available too. Fabulous hotel and would highly recommend!
