You know what caught me off guard about Royal Homes 405? I was expecting another cookie-cutter apartment hotel, but this place actually has character. It’s tucked away on Şehit Binbaşı Cengiz Toytunç Caddesi – yeah, I butchered that pronunciation too – but honestly, the location surprised me in the best way. You’re not stuck in the tourist bubble, but you’re not stranded either. There’s this little bakery about two blocks down that makes the most incredible börek in the mornings, and the locals there were genuinely friendly when I stumbled in with my terrible Turkish.

The building itself has that solid, no-nonsense feel that Turkish construction does so well. My room was on the fourth floor (there’s an elevator, thank god), and I mean… the view isn’t going to win any postcards, but you get these glimpses of the Taurus Mountains between the buildings that are pretty spectacular, especially around sunset. The apartment was clean – really clean – and bigger than I expected. The kitchen actually works, which is rarer than you’d think in these places. I ended up cooking a few meals because there’s a Migros supermarket within walking distance, and honestly? Sometimes you just want to eat something that isn’t tourist-priced. The Wi-Fi held up during my work calls, which was crucial since I was trying to stay connected with clients back home.

What really got me though was how quiet it gets at night. You’d think being in the city you’d have constant noise, but this street settles down after about 10 PM. The walls are thick enough that I never heard neighbors, and the air conditioning – essential in Antalya summers – runs quietly. Parking was straightforward too, which anyone who’s driven in Turkish cities will tell you is a minor miracle. The staff speak decent English, and when my shower had a minor issue on day three, they sorted it out within a couple hours without making me feel like I was being a pain about it. Look, it’s not luxury – it’s a solid 3-star place that punches above its weight. The 9.4 rating makes sense once you’re there for a few days. It’s the kind of place where everything just… works. No drama, no surprises, just a comfortable base while you explore Antalya properly.

  Great value for money in the heart of Antalya. Owners very responsive on WhatsApp. Allowed us to have late check out as we had a baby that made things more challenging !
  
  Good heating and cooling which I’ve found a challenge in some places in Turkey so far – so that was nice 🙂
  
  What could be improved: Parking nearby isn’t free but isn’t expensive either. Building is a wee bit old but the floor of the apartments are nice. And for the price you pay, can’t complain

  Excellent location, all main attractions are within walking distance, also supermarket, pharmacy etc. The bedroom window has sound isolation, keeps the street noise out when you need to sleep. The host is very accommodating and went out his ways to help us. Generous essential supplies. We stayed here for two weeks, they supplied toilet paper, paper towels, detergent etc all the way through. Thanks for a great stay!

  I stayed here for 1 month, and it was a happy stay.
  
  Location is perfect and the key selling point — just on the edge of the Old Town, and next to Republic Square from where you can just walk down to the Marina. It is also about 5-10 mins walk to the MarkAntalya shopping mall (towards the north), and about 5-10 mins walk to Hadrian’s Gate (towards the south). The building entrance looks a bit dirty — but no worries, we accepted that this is not a high-end hotel :). But once you take the elevator to the 4th floor, it will now look more like a mid-range hotel 🙂
  
  The apartment is clean, renovated and spacious. It is facing an office building but no problem because the office windows there are always closed. Kitchen is adequate – we cooked quite a fair bit during our stay. The bed is quite squeaky. It seems that water softener is used in the building to prevent clogging of water pipes — which makes the tap water a bit “smooth”.
  
  Service is good. The host has 12 apartments on levels 4 and 5, which is coordinated by Ramazan and his part-time colleagues. Ramazan is very responsive. No apartment is perfect — so inevitably, you will have some issues. But no worries, we just informed Ramazan and he would resolve the issues promptly.
  
  As I said previously, no apartment is perfect. The host and his team did try their best to make our stay a comfortable one. Thanks again to Ramazan.

  Everything was perfect – communication before check-in, the hosts are very helpful and nice, the location is wonderful (3 minutes to the old town and marina), the appartment is perfectly clean, renovated and comfortable, providing coffee, tea etc is a nice gesture that we appreciated. Everything is very comfortable and well organized. We really liked our stay and we would book this appartment again without hesitating.
