You know, I’ve walked past Royal Homes 503 probably a dozen times before actually staying there – it sits right on Şehit Binbaşı Cengiz Toytunç Caddesi, which honestly most tourists can’t pronounce but locals just call “the street behind the old post office.” What struck me first wasn’t the building itself (it’s pretty standard Turkish residential architecture), but how quiet it gets once you step inside. The traffic noise from the main road just… disappears. The owner, this incredibly patient guy named Mehmet, actually waited for me at 11 PM because my flight got delayed – turns out he lives in the building too, which explains why everything runs so smoothly.

Here’s what I didn’t expect from a 3-star place: the apartment was genuinely clean, not just surface-clean but like, your Turkish grandmother would approve clean. The kitchen had proper plates and glasses, not those flimsy things you usually get, and the shower pressure was actually decent (if you’ve stayed in older Antalya buildings, you know this is basically a miracle). The balcony overlooks this little courtyard where the neighbors hang their laundry and kids play football – it’s not Instagram-pretty, but it feels real in a way that hotel pools never do. I spent most mornings there with terrible instant coffee, watching this orange cat who apparently owns the entire block make his rounds.

What really sells this place though is the location, and I mean the actual practical location, not the tourism-brochure version. You’re a 15-minute walk to Kaleiçi if you cut through the residential streets, maybe 20 if you stick to the main roads. There’s a proper grocery store (not just tourist snacks) two blocks down, and this tiny bakery where they make fresh simit every morning around 7 AM – I’m pretty sure I was their only foreign customer the entire week. The tram stop is close enough that you can hear it, but not so close that it wakes you up. Parking was never an issue, which honestly surprised me given how cramped this neighborhood usually gets. The whole setup just works – it’s like staying in a normal Turkish apartment rather than some sanitized tourist bubble, but with the reliability of knowing someone’s actually managing the place properly.

  The apartment is clean and tidy and had all the facilities we required. The cooking facilities were basic but adequate and basic condiments were provided. The aircon, hot water, fridge, cooktop, washing machine, shower all worked well. The staff were friendly and helpful.
  
  What could be improved: The apartment is small but this wasn’t a problem for us because of the huge balcony that wraps around room 503. We spent most of our time on the balcony, in the sun enjoying the panoramic views over the harbour.
  The traffic in Antalya is bad and street parking could be a challenge. We could always get paid parking in the underground car park next to the hotel.

  Удобство расположения, невероятно большая терраса, с которой открывался вид на Калеичи и море с одной стороны и горы с другой. Близость магазинов, трамвайной линии, мест общепита.
  В номере необходимая бытовая техника, удобная кровать, в небольшом, но достаточном количестве кухонная утварь.
  Номер превзошёл ожидания.

  Fantastyczna lokalizacja, tuż przy starym mieście, wszystko w zasięgu krótkiego spaceru. Czyściutko, wszytkie potrzebne sprzęty na miejscu: mikrofalówka, płyta, pralka, żelazko, suszarka. Ale największe wrażenie robi widok z tarasu.
  
  What could be improved: Jedyna rzecz, której mi brakowało w pokoju to lampka nocna, potrzebne jakieś oświetlenie delikatne przy łóżlu.

  A smaller, tastefully furnished apartment on the top floor in an excellent location, featuring a large terrace with a sea view. Great staff who quickly fulfilled all requests.
  
  Just a minute from the tram to the beach, 5 minutes from the old town and the pedestrian shopping area, with many restaurants nearby.

  The Apartment is perfectly situated for visiting the old town in fact from the large balcony you have a fantastic view of the old town including the city walls and a beautiful sea view.

  My friend and I really enjoyed staying in the Room 503 of Royal Homes. Communication with the owner Yavuz was very easy, even at a late hour (due to the late arrival). His employees were very helpful during our stay, as well. The room is just perfect for 2 people. Everything is new and in the best condition! The location is great as well. Highly recommend!
