You know what caught me off guard about Safari Otel? The name made me expect some kind of kitschy animal-themed place, but when I walked in, I actually found this really thoughtful little boutique spot that feels more like staying at a design-savvy friend’s place than a typical Antalya hotel. It’s tucked away on this quiet side street off Fahrettin Altay Caddesi in the Yuksekalan neighborhood – honestly, I walked past it twice before spotting the subtle signage, which should tell you something about how refreshingly low-key it is.

The thing about this area is that you’re still close enough to the action (maybe a 10-minute walk to the main tourist strips) but far enough removed that you won’t hear tour groups chattering outside your window at 7 AM. The owners clearly put thought into every corner – I mean, there are these gorgeous textiles and local ceramics scattered around that actually look like someone curated them, not just ordered them from a hotel supply catalog. My room had this amazing view of the Taurus Mountains in the distance, and the bathroom (which was way bigger than I expected) had one of those rainfall showers that actually worked properly. Small thing, but you’d be surprised how often that’s not the case.

What really won me over was the breakfast situation – they serve it on this lovely terrace where you can watch the neighborhood wake up, and it’s clearly made by someone who cares about food. Fresh börek, local honey, tomatoes that actually taste like something, and Turkish tea that’s strong enough to wake the dead. The staff genuinely seemed to enjoy helping guests figure out the less obvious parts of Antalya – like which minibus to take to get to the better beaches, or where to find that incredible künefe place that’s not listed in any guidebook. There’s no pool, which might be a dealbreaker for some people, but honestly the whole vibe is so chill that I found myself preferring to just hang out in the common areas with a book. The 8.8 rating makes perfect sense to me – it’s the kind of place that does what it does really well without trying to be everything to everyone. If you’re looking for a massive resort with five restaurants and a spa, this isn’t your spot. But if you want to feel like you’re actually staying somewhere with personality in a real neighborhood, Safari Otel gets it right.

  The location is really amazing, use the tramway from the airport to the hotel , and you are so close to the city center, Mr.Sezgin at the front desk is very helpful specks Turkish, Arabic, English language, hotel very clean breakfast according to money value is very acceptable, I really like everything

  We really liked the receptionists and their services, they helped us a lot with our trip plans, booked us trips around Antalya, and were overall very kind. The room was also very good and comfortable.
  
  What could be improved: We didn’t like the cleaning ladies doing housekeeping, they kept looking at us and laughing, we picked up a few words here and there where they were mocking us.

  Room was newly renovated, clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable. AC was quiet and working well. Staffs were super nice and they go above and beyond to help and make my stay comfortable. They gave me a newly renovated room even though I was alone. I went to breakfast late but they still served me. The room was quite sound proof. Free water, tea and coffee all day. Location was excellent, it’s right next to tram station, walking distance to old town. I really like the hotel and enjoyed my stay.
