You know what really gets me about Sera Homes Kaleici Oldtown? It’s actually tucked into the heart of old Antalya in a way that feels deliberate – like someone who really knows the city chose this exact spot on Kocatepe Sokak. I mean, you’re literally walking on cobblestones that have been worn smooth by centuries of footsteps, and honestly, that’s not something you get in those cookie-cutter beach resorts everyone talks about.

The thing is, Kaleiçi itself is this maze of narrow streets where you’ll smell Turkish coffee drifting from tiny cafés one minute and hear the call to prayer echoing off Ottoman-era walls the next. Sera Homes sits right in the thick of it, which is both fantastic and something to consider – you’re going to hear life happening around you, especially during evening hours when locals are out for their leisurely walks. The building has that restored historic feel without being overly precious about it, if that makes sense. They’ve kept the character (those thick stone walls actually keep things surprisingly cool) but added modern touches where it matters. The 4-star rating feels about right – it’s comfortable and well-maintained without being flashy.

What I really appreciate is how walkable everything becomes from here. Hadrian’s Gate is practically around the corner, and you can wander down to the old harbor in maybe ten minutes – though honestly, you’ll probably get delightfully lost a few times because these streets weren’t designed with tourists and GPS in mind. The restaurants nearby aren’t the touristy ones either; you’re more likely to end up sharing a table with Antalya locals, which is exactly what you want. Parking can be tricky (it’s old town, after all), but the staff actually knows the area well enough to give you real advice about where to leave your car. That 8.1 rating makes sense to me – it’s the kind of place that delivers on what it promises without trying to oversell itself. You’re not getting a resort experience here, you’re getting something more authentic, and frankly, more interesting.

  Lovely wee appartment in the Old Town of Antayla, perfect location to everything. Great having cooking facilities to make breakfast. Very comfortable stay.
  
  What could be improved: No soap in the bathroom provided. Would have benefited from dishwasher liquid and a teatowel for dishes.

  Cute apartment, and exactly as pictured. Easy access and quick check-in process. Perfect location right in the middle of a buzzing tourist centre. Very friendly staff.
  
  What could be improved: Kitchen didn’t have soap or dish cloths. Kitchen had limescale stains. Bathroom shower drain had a bad smell because of the drain trap being dry (the bathroom was completely clean. The smell is a normal occurrence when drains sit dry for extended periods of time). The TV is not a smart TV so you are subjected to Turkish language programs only, which isn’t a trainsmash considering you ARE in Turkiye after all

  I stayed in a “double room with a park view”. It’s on the 3d floor, no elevator and the stairs are really narrow. It’s not so easy to take your luggage up there, but it’s really worth it. The view from the terrace is just amazing (some pictures attached), you see rooftops of the old town and mountains.
  The room itself is not big (seems like the terrace is even bigger), but has everything you need. And it’s nice to have a small kitchen. The neighbourhood is quiet, no bars with loud music around.
  
  What could be improved: The terrace is great, but needs some upgrades. It would be nice to have at least a table. It’s really missing. Only chairs there.

  Great location – 7 min from Hadrian's gate. It was on the edges of old town which helped avoid (most) of the loud noise from the clubs that go late into the night. Host was quickly responsive for any issues we had.
  
  What could be improved: The wifi is not quite reliable enough for remote work. We had to switch networks frequently, sometimes going out comepletely with no warning, but we see that this is likely the case across Turkey. The kitchen had the basics, although everything in it needed a good wash before use.

  We lived on the top floor which gave us access to a decent balcony.
  Very good location in the old town.
  
  What could be improved: For one night, the shower did not have hot water. We communicated with the host but neither of us seemed to know what's wrong.
  Other than that, there's nothing wrong.

  Excellent location in Kaleici with a few minutes walk into town. Wonderful views from the balcony. The room is ‘cute’, perfect for the 2 of us.
  
  What could be improved: Balcony’s could do with a clean, and a proper seating table outside would have been great.

  The apartment was conveniently located in the old town with access to the tram and bus services near lots of restaurants. It is just on the edge of the old and new town and traffic is restricted into the old town but our taxi had access to it through a gate that is manned 24/7.
  It was clean and spacious for 2 people and with lots of light and a small terrace great to sit outside in the evenings. The aircon worked well as it got quite hot even in October and the kitchen had enough utensils to cook a meal. It had also a small fridge and dishwasher.
  There was a nearby coffee shop too.
  
  The decor was modern and with good taste maintaining the old town character and the facade of the building looks like it has been renovated recently too.
  
  The Wifi worked generally well although a bit slow in the evenings probably as more people would be using it.
  
  Communication with the apartment management was good, quick through whats app and friendly.
  We were offered a transfer from the airport for €50 one way which we politely declined as we found a cheaper transfer for half the price through Booking.
  
  Chek in was very easy and as we were arriving at midnight, we were provided with a keybox number to retrieve our card keys. The only thing is that the keybox was displaying the number we were given and anybody could have taken our keys. This is a security issue. We were provided with 2 keys which was great.
  
  What could be improved: Overall it was a very good apartment in a good location and good value for money.
  There are small maintenance issues though: the balcony door handle was broken, the bathroom tap was loose, there were door handles missing from some of the kitchen cabinets, the toilet roll holder was loose so couldn't be used, the hook for the hand towel was missing and there was only a nail to hung your towel from, the kettle had no lid…these are easilly fixed things but from reading other feedback, it doesn't look like they do anything about fixing them.
  
  They also provide only 1 toilet roll for a 9 night stay and when asked for more they brought 1 more. Also only 1 towel per person for a 9 night stay is not enough.
  
  The bed and pilows are rather hard and not comfortable for us. But for those who prefer a harder mattrasse this would be ideal.
  
  The apartment was located in a 'quieter' part of the old town and there were only a couple of bars nearby that would close at 1am at the weekend. But you do get quite a lot of noise from motorbikes passing by and people talking loudly. Best to bring earplugs.
  
  I would have given the apartment a higher rating but due to the maintenance issues and other bits mentioned above we think a "very good" rating is a more accurate rating.
