Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to SEVER SUİTES HOTEL on that narrow side street in Kızıltoprak, I wasn’t expecting much from a 1-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the best travel surprises come from keeping your expectations in check and just rolling with it.

The location is actually pretty clever if you know Antalya at all. Kızıltoprak isn’t where the tourist buses dump everyone – it’s more of a residential pocket where you’ll hear Turkish conversations drifting from apartment balconies and smell someone’s grandmother cooking börek in the morning. The hotel sits on this quiet little street (921 Sokak, if you’re trying to find it), and honestly, that’s half the charm right there. No tour groups clogging the lobby, no kids screaming in multiple languages by the pool at 7 AM. Just… peace, you know? Though I should mention, if you’re planning to walk everywhere, you’ll want to factor in some decent hiking – Antalya’s old town and the main tourist strip are doable on foot, but it’s not exactly around the corner.

What surprised me most was how the staff seemed to actually care about getting things right. I mean, sure, this isn’t the Ritz – the lobby’s pretty basic, and don’t expect marble everything – but there’s something refreshing about a place that focuses on the fundamentals instead of trying to be fancy. My suite (and they really are suites, not just rooms with delusions of grandeur) was clean, the AC worked without sounding like a helicopter, and the bed was honestly more comfortable than I had any right to expect. The bathroom had that slightly dated Turkish tile thing going on, but hey, hot water pressure was solid and everything actually functioned. Sometimes that’s all you need, right?

The 7.9 rating makes total sense once you spend a night or two there – it’s not trying to be something it’s not, which I respect. Parking was surprisingly easy, which anyone who’s driven around Turkish cities will tell you is basically a minor miracle. The neighborhood gets properly quiet after about 10 PM, so if you’re someone who needs absolute silence to sleep, you’ll be happy. And here’s a local tip nobody tells you – there’s this amazing little bakery about three blocks down that opens stupidly early and makes the kind of fresh simit that’ll ruin you for airport breakfast forever. The hotel folks will point you toward the usual tourist spots if you ask, but they also seem genuinely excited to share the good local stuff if you show any interest. That’s the kind of authentic touch that makes a simple place memorable, honestly.

  It was a good price for a private room with bathroom, there's 24 hours reception, private parking, not too far from the city center (though you still need to take the tram). Front desk staff was nice and helpful. Area was quiet. Has all the basic things you'd expect in a hotel room – towels, fridge, water and water boiler.
  
  What could be improved: The location seems a bit off – not much restaurants/cafes around/shops around – but a good option if you just want a budget night otw to the airport. The rooms are old and probably due for a renovation/carpet change. Wifi did not work for me.

  What could be improved: I couldn’t sleep because of cigarettes smoke smell. They have cleaned very well but people still smoke into the rooms. The smell is difficult for a person who doesn’t smoke.

  What could be improved: I had to use Google translator to communicate with the reception staff , I have asked can I have a quiet room? I want to sleep straight away. He gave me the noisiest room on the main road and the window was not soundproof. The noises came all night from the car non-stop , doesn’t let me sleep , very poor breakfast ,
  While he was trying to give me the room. Somebody came to reserve the room. The reception staff ignored me. He start chatting with the guys came after me , totally He ignored me until I said I need to go to sleep and I am before this man

  since they did not accept the reservation from Booking.com and did not give me a room there was nothing to like about the hotel.
  
  What could be improved: I arrived at 2 AM on the 7th of october and was REFUSED the room because they said my credit card could not be charged. I was not informed of any of this problem . the cleark was very unhelpful telling me "this is your problem, not mine".
  I had to leave the hotel and take a cab back to the airport and spent my night on a bench till 8 AM .
  I will contact personally Booking.com to verify how is possible such a treatment of a guest.

  I really liked the very poilte and welcoming staff and the hotel is just right beside dental clinic I was visiting.

  хорошее расположение. Недалеко супермаркет, много кафе, хорошая транспортная доступность. Пешком до центра за 25-30 минут. Душевный персонал, готовый прийти на помощь и решить все ваши проблемы. Стандартный завтрак: яйцо, огурцы, помидоры, два вида сыра, оливки, маслины и чай с булкой, к ней на выбор масло, мёд, джем. Удобная кровать.
